this mouse is one of the best mouse you can get imo. worth it.

I think people that do actual work with it may use the DPI more then most gamers really. I think on average most people use low dpi for sniping etc and then bump it up a little to 1200ish to 2kish for assault classes or closer up combat.

Actually. It does. The more DPI the more precise the mouse is. So... yeah. more DPI == more precise.

Even though someone may not use more than 3000, some do. Especially when you get into the higher resolutions.

More DPI also gives you a much smoother pointer travel.

P.S. If you just do a simple google for DPI, first thing that comes up is more DPI = more precise. I don't know why you ould say what you said above.

I actually use about 2.6-2.7 for everything, then pop down to about 800 for sniping. Anything lower on my resolution absolutely kills me.

DPI = dots per inch so let's say you set your mouse to 1200 DPI you will only use 1200dpi... therefore the 5600 DPI on your mouse is useless.. it's just marketing crap... most people don't use more than 2000 DPI really. More DPI just means your cursor will move faster... and no one needs 5600 dpi.
