Had a Lock that we ran with that would NOT equip better stat gear cause "it didn't match" her outfit.... This was in BC so I'm not sure if her attitude has changed.
in level 60 zg, i rolled on one of the tanking rings because i already had the other one of the set. i told the raid leader i needed it for pvp.
i was a priest. i won it over a warrior. trolololol.

Now, believe me here, I AM NOT lying about this:
Back in wotlk, a paladin was asking in trade which caster plate piece was better...for his tanking set. I whispered him and told him that he shouldn't be using caster pieces in his tank set. What was his response?
"I use it so I can offheal a bit while tanking"
I lol'd. Very, very, hard.
Mage + Spell Penetration.
He ignored me after I asked why.
holy pala needing on agility chest because it would make his heals crit more

my attempts at being funny with skyrim
I entered a ZA the other day with a Paladin Tank who was using a two-handed sword. The conversation that went down went something like this:
Me: Did you forget to switch specs?
::crickets::
Me: Paladin - you're the tank. Swap over to your Prot set.
Paladin: This is my prot set.
Me: You're wearing a two hander and no shield.
Paladin: Oh yeah, I get that a lot. I don't like the way the shields look.
::the healer and one other DPS dropped group::
Me: Good luck with that. /leave party
The intellect part is true in the description when you mouse over intellect it stated it increases your chance to get a weapon skill BUT THAT counted only for classes like warrior and hunter if I recall correctly.
Never met people like that other than stamina stacking mages in vanilla.
Priest in vanilla, stacking agility for more spell crit -.- I asked my GM to kick him after I saw that.
