Man, those Marley Griffin boys sure do get around.

I'm sorry, but blatantly reusing the same textures as MW2 screams of cash-grab laziness.

Pretty much this. Stopped playing CoD at the fourth one. Don't like playing the same thing thrice in a row.

MW3 is more about personal ability and is more of a twitch shooter than BF3, containing smaller maps, quicker kills and more focus on slaughtering the enemy rather than capturing points or detonating bombs. I'll personally be buying both, as I like them both for different reasons.
I agree both are aimed at different groups I also have preordered both I have never been unhappy with either franchise so far

So its hard to belive that in this fictional world. This established company would own more than 1 truck?
I dont get the complaints here.

No, it isn't hard to believe at all. The truck simply serves to illustrate how something so simple wasn't even done in this game. This isn't a new game, this is an expansion pack. If you're going to pay $60 for the same engine, textures, models, be my guest. I'm going to pass.

It IS getting my closer to Pit Lord title though? :P

Gah I cant help but think this is just going to be another scrubfest like MW:2 and Black Ops. Wtf happened to making a competitive online shooter..... oh yeah that's right, multiplayer = $$$.

IW have sold out big time, online used to be about small team maps similar to CS with choke points, rushes, spreads etc now it's all about 'OMG I can spawn a SAM turret out my ass if I get enough kills'. *Yaaaawn* Although I'm not a fan of large scale war type scenarios, I did enjoy Battlefield BC and BC2. Vehicles always annoyed me (same in halo actually) but its actually became less of a problem than in CoD, where the air is constantly filled with planes and helicopters.

I've tried for long to view the new installment of Call of Duty with a positive attitude, but the more I see of this game the more disappointed I become. The more content Infinity Ward and Activision seem to release, the more apparent the over-recycling becomes. I don't mind that they use the same graphics engine, but what bothers me is the reused content within that engine. Everything looks, feels ans sounds almost identical to it's predecessors. I'm a frequent MW2 player and have spend maybe 200 hours on that game. I decided to skip Black Ops because it didn't feel that much different, and it seems MW3 will be the same - if not worse.

I'm actually very displeased with Infinity Wards announcements, trailers and screenshots so far because the game just seems to be a straight copy with some minor adjustments. I was hoping tremendously for this game to be more than it seems to be. That being said, I will still pick up a copy for the single player part as the Modern Warfare series hasn't delivered a bad story/single player act so far and I'm dying to see what they have to offer.

Majority of the IW team quit or was fired immediately after MW2, that's why it was so terrible. In fact, MW3 isn't even being made by the same team, just the remnants and they didn't even touch the multiplayer

That awkward moment when you realise your ak 47 has less kick than a M16 than game isn't realistic Jets don't fly that low just to shoot Foot sloggers its amazing what people think is realistic nowadays.

    THIS is a nice quote.

First of all, the game is the same as its predecessors correct? So if it's the same and I had fun with every MW game so far then i don't need to have played it yet to know I'll have fun.

Second of all, I play the game with friends. We will have fun. It will be worth my 60 bucks, I know it before I even play it. Why? Because, like everyone is saying, it's the same game as before. Hence, I will enjoy it.

If you're playing either of these games for realism, you're doing it wrong. Go check out the ARMA games if that is what you are looking for.
