Templar Verdict = no longer require Holy Power

Hey guys I have been thinking of a way to maybe fix retri spec overall it might be not the best thing to do but here we goes:

Making Templar Verdict no longer require holy power to be activated instead giving it short cd like 8 secs or something like that. Making our holy power system only good to be used for inquisition and word glory.

Discuss please what do you think?

Why not just scrap holy power altogether then? If you aren't full of holy power by time you need to recast inquisition then thats a problem in itself. So there is really no point then

I always thought Templar's Verdict should be like Lava Lash for shaman... great damage, but somewhat higher CD... like 10 seconds or so... does anyone use TV without 3 holy power? its mostly useless without having full holy power...

I better see they get a better filler than an aoe spell when you dont have your procs.

If you're talking about DS, it shares a CD with CS so it's not really a filler spell if you're doing it right.
If you're not talking about DS then what exactly are you talking about?

    I actually like that idea.
I'd also like to see Ret pallies DS instead of CS again.
I always thought that was pretty cool.
CS just doesn't look fancy at all =/

Sadly, I don't think such a move would fix anything.

Basically, Holy Power is a cd anyway.

What you're proposing would only boost our damage and healing rate, while not fixing any of the gameplay issues like Holy Power not being a fully developed resource.

Although, I guess I wouldn't object to a damage/healing boost if it was offered... just don't perceive it as a solution of the bigger problem.
    - Looks like they took him to some bolt hole in the Wounded Coast.
    - I wonder if it's near the Injured Cliffs? Or the Limping Hills? Massive-Head-Trauma-Bay? No? Just me? *sigh* Forget I said anything.

I think he means Holy Wrath and/or Consecration, both of which are fairly lousy.

Apparently we were too faysrowl back then...

Not that it's really very much harder now. But what can you do, it's "their" game as some individuals like to point out =)

GC said we we're "broken." Just like frost DK's?
I used to like WoW. I still do, but I used to, too.

They added holy power to take paladins away from a complete boring Cooldown based rotation.

It was implemented incorrectly (It should have been more of a rage-style system) but I have faith they'll continue to tweak it.

Wish I had your optimism =)

Based on the lack of feedback, seems they consider everything to be fine.

All they need to do is increase the modifier on how much haste reduces our CS cd. It's been said many times but won't ever happen.

Dev's are focused on other things, i imagine that ret pallies will see another complete redesign in the next expansion, just hold tight for now.

Thing is, if it's like all the other redesigns, I'm not so sure what I should feel about it. Because they've gone back and forth so many times it seems they don't know what the hell to do with us....

Their latest redesign made me nostalgic of TBC Retribution, never though I'd feel that way.

The person who said that probably read an old quote.

It was what GC said about WotLK Ret and why they did a redesign in Cata, I remember it very well.

"Ret was broken" were his exact words, then something along the lines of "if you don't agree with us on that, well - too bad" (paraphrasing here, he said smth more politically correct, but that was the gist of it).

I'm lery of any class changes made by a team that does not play the class they are screwing with tbh, give TV a cd and a nice base damage. Let HP add 30% damage from each charge you have up to the 225% max that it is now, Inq should be a Buff you want up but the juggling ac between TV and Inq is a joke, make DS pop HP on 3 targets instead of 4. Exo needs a shorter CD. Best fix I can think of.
Not flying my Sig because somebody got butthurt because I posted a question that they didn't like in they're little pet post and sicked ScrapBot on me :P

That would mean making inquisition so short that you needed to refresh it like a protadin. That or generating Holy Power would be ignored. Which we know Blizz don't want.

This removes the purpose for Holy Power to exist. I approve

Nope. It invalidates holy power as a resource, which alone does much to help the class. Mana and CD's as a resource are 20x better than this half-assed bullshit.
