Yeah, cause if you go PTR you only have to wipe 500+ times on Ragnaros so it's definately all about PTR.

Paragon guys commented on some live-raid, that doing the actual PTR provides some grounds for creating tactics, but due to the odd testing times (in Finland those times are past-midnight, like from 02:30) as well as constant lag and bugs, it hardly works as a real raiding environment to practice with. What it all boils down to is being able to take your schedule and make time when a content patch hits, as well as continuing to deliver solid gameplay after gruesome amounts of wipes.

If you're trying to contradict me, at least have the balls to be specific instead of hiding behind the vagueness of your witty comment. Are you perhaps a member of For The Horde, Stars, Method or Ensidia to give credibility to your supposed knowledge of Sinestra hotfixes, or why do you not even bother to quote your sources?

For Sinestra, there was a a constant stream of hotfixes, but fixes to bugs we had reported usually came at least a day later, like fixes to the infinite Twilight Slicers and the Dark Simulacrum oversight. Some things, like the functionality of Twilight Spitecallers or the snare-ability of Twilight Whelps, were changed as adjustments to the boss at somewhat random points. The only time we felt like something might have been changed unusually fast were when we had had one 4% wipe on Wednesday and a few hours later the Twilight Whelps had been turned immune to all snares, ruining part of our strategy when we were close to a kill (even we had had a feeling that the whelps hadn't been meant to be fully kited.) And the only time our methods of communication with Blizzard were extended beyond submitting bug reports in GM tickets and getting "ok, we'll report this onwards" was when somebody extended to send an e-mail to them as well about the Dark Simulacrum "bug" that we were particularly concerned about.

So, why extactly would Sinestras hotfixes have a word with me?

that practice works enough to give you as you said the tactics. All you have to do after that is execute on live. If it wasn't important to be on the ptr these guilds wouldn't do it. i've done some ptr raiding and was surprised how easy raids were when they went live especially if you had the same people with you. That certainly helps to push content.

They will probably end up buffing the ilevel on the staff like they did with Val'anyr.
