No. The megastones just are there at the start, you don't need to activate anything to see the sparks.

Footprint ribbon requires you to gain 50 or so levels ingame. So he's ineligible as he's been lv 100 since FR.

Edit: Apparently it IS friendship. That's a relief. I wonder what ribbon I was thinking about then...Pretty sure there used to be one like that, but hey, might just be my memory that decided to troll me.

I believe the EV reducing berries increase friendship when used. If you can afford it, use a bunch of berries reducing an EV you don't care about (IIRC, they can be used even on an EV you have 0 of) to help with the friendship, use those massage services, walk around while using the Soothe Bell, that kind of stuff.

I mean... I am assuming those berries are still obtainable.

Nope, no scarf. Only soothe bell (had to get max friendship to get draco meteor), unless that has an effect. Or shininess.

To add to this, battles at level 100 still increase happiness as well. My Blaziken has been 100 since RSE and he loves every trainer I swap him to.

Beat Pokemon, don't faint, use items on them, walks around + soothe bell, massage. The only thing that level 100 disables, happiness-wise, would be evolution from (for example) a Buneary to Lopunny because friendship evolution is triggered via levelup. Everything else is "when battle ends."

At the risk of sounding emo, Whismur. Quiet and lonely and a little sad.

But then I EVOLVE INTO A REALLY LOUD THING WHEN I GET EXCITED.
