Mage in my guild just finished his legendary staff

But he still pulls less DPS then myself and the other casters. He has been like this all expansion most recently some of the other mages were pulling 35k dps on fights but he manged to only pull 20k. Now this mage is a officer of my guild which is why they gave him the staff first rather then considering some the better casters who would benefit so much more from it and have also raided just as much as this officer has.


I would love to link logs but our guild has them set to private and only give access to other officers or class leaders.

Am I just stuck in a guild that has officers being straight out greedy with considering other players before themselves?

Not sure what you really want me to tell you

Your officers made a poor decision but from the time he got the first phase finished (like that takes long) it would have been silly to give it to anyone else
Plus maybe your officers think it makes a better reward for dedication than DPS? Even if you raid just as often, being an officer takes a lot more work than just being a raider (and no, I am not an officer in my own guild)
If I saw a member complaining about another on a public forum I'd certainly drop them down any list to recieve a legendary weapon

If you are doing more DPS than him you already know you're a better player, you don't need a honestly pretty ugly looking stick to prove that, so stop going green over the fact that he got his before you and wait your turn

During Wrath another guild was using the guilds logs to poach players so they are minimizing the chance of it happening again.

I would already complained before he even started the quest line. If they wouldn't change it, I would start searching for an other guild.

They would only do this because their leadership is full of poor players and things like you described happen all the time. If you leadership didn't make retarded decisions like keeping officers around who get carried, people would be less motivated to leave. I'd look for a new guild.

We can't challenge the officers/gm. One of our tanks did that a few weeks back and got sidelined for 2 weeks. During Wrath another officer challenged the GM and was kicked from the guild. Both times they were just suggesting better tanking positions. (The GM is a tank)

I like to raid 25mans but there isn't many 25man raiding guilds that suit my raid times and or progressed into heroic modes. Outside top named guilds. Raiding US times is totally out of the question for me.

It makes me question why you continue to remain with ''bad'' players especially a legendary that boost your DPS by a ridicilious amount.

Then start your own guild with raid times that YOU choose. If the GM and officers in your current are as bad as you claim, you are just as bad for staying in a losing situation.

Well he was an officer so I can understand why they gave it to him first, in my guild our GM is getting it first even though he has said FL will be his last raid and he will probably quit, so he will probably get it then quit, tf? only thing worse than having a nerd GM is having a nerd GM who tanks, seriously, tanks are so fucking emo these days they are bad enough without the extra power of being a GM.

The problem with just starting a guild is people are not willing to leave their current ones or enjoy doing 10man. We don't have many servers to choose and realistically there is only 3 servers that dominate which only have like one 25man on each and everything else is all 10mans.

this. it may be a bit of work, but it's better than being in a guild run in a manner that effects your quality of playing time. and who knows, you may have some friends in your current guild that would join you.

Going to go with the "find a new guild" crowd. That staff alone is a MASSIVE dps increase. My mage in craptastic blues does slightly less dps than him, with his legendary. You're looking at a case of terrible player with amazing weapon. The first warglaives on my server went to a rogue who was TERRIBLE (compared to the other people who could have used it), yet he was still given them purely based on his 100% attendance. Also, I laughed at your officers hiding your logs for "guilds poaching players." I can't imagine too many people being poached from a guild that would give the staff to someone who under performs to such a huge level.
