[Amazing] Skyrim Demo Gameplay with commentry

But other than that the game looks solid and already I can see it has that sense of pressence to it.

It looks good both in terms of graphics and gameplay. Are they using the same engine again (Gamebryo?)

Also, I would expect Skyrim to have new, different, better melee animations. The basic strikes in melee are the same as Oblivion...that's very dissapointing.

I agree. I love Skyrim just as much as the next fan, but they've been showcasing this same footage over and over and over again. Even the commentary is extremely scripted at this point.

It's a new engine.

Looks pretty boring to me.

The extent of the attacks and spells basically look like a single swing across your body and various flashes of wispy light. No aiming, you can't even hardly tell if your spell landed. I just cast this spell and run around until the big storm I summoned knocks the mob down and then I go over and do a couple generic swings on it to kill it.

The level of detail is pretty in the graphics, but if I wanted level of detail like that I'd just go outside. Where is the compelling gameplay more than just walking around and looking at pretty sceanary. Looks just as disappointing as all the other Elder Scroll games with lots of depth, but a signficant lack of fun gameplay to explore it all.

Pretty bold statement for a game that haven't been released yet, and one you have never played. This game-play footage is several months old. And likely to have been updated multiple times since then.

The combat never was the strong point on the Elder Scroll series. But if you don't like the other ones, I doubt you'll like Skyrim.
