    New brewfest Mace?

Ok so here is my query. The new mace has our two worst stats build into it. So how exactly is it an upgrade? I mean i am using two 353 weapons and it just seems like agility and speed aside it would be a loss. So i was wondering what everyone else here thinks. And please don't just give a sim it since i'm asking in general and not just about me.

So yeah is it a potential upgrade or viable for enh or is it just us getting shafted again? Oh and i DO realize that blizz tends to just upgrade the stats that were on it before but in this case wouldn't it make sense to add mastery or maybe even a NEW mace(as in another one not replace it necessarily). So yeah what do you guys think of this?

The weapon damage & agility make it superior.

that mace is nothing more than a filler upgrade for some ppl.. as to me wanting a set of them, yes I do only cause enhancement is my off spec.

though I do see the humor in a Dwarven shaman with a pair of these, at least a fresh 85....lmao

Just to not open a new thread. Is it worth changing BWD claws set for two brewfest maces?

The offhand has strength on it, so yes for sure. A 1000 haste procc won't beat that

If you are using those you are goign with a str wpn just to get a haste proc so I would snag a mace if you have a chance. Keep in mind that idiots will end up buying these for the next month or so for 15 to 20k though, when you mix that in I would sell one if I got one but if the gold doesnt bother you it should be an increase, not a 15k increase but one all the same.

I really don't mind about money, got around 200k, so if its a big improvement I'll equip 2 of them (running coren with 5 chars and I got a mace yesterday :P) I'm just really unlucky with raid weapon drops. I'm the only agi melee in the guild, we are raiding 10man FL, and still haven't seen any shared weapons or Baleroc's axe drop yet

    EDIT: Some typo

We've been raiding 25man and we've only had 1 baleroc weapon drop, no shared weapons yet (and that includes killing Baleroc hc for a couple of weeks now)

Atleast these 2 maces are a nice ugprade for my 359/353 offspec weapons

From my understanding the weapon damage and agility on it makes it better hands down. Only items 365 and above would be better. Mainly in part because of how Windfury and Lava Lash operate off weapon damage. While Crit and Haste aren't the best stats you can always reforge the haste to hit/exp/mastery. If you don't do any raiding then it will definitely be an upgrade unless they decide in the next week to allow shamans to use swords.

    higher dmg >any stats
other shaman in my guild bought 2x obsidium cleavers and his dps was been competitve to my 2x gatecrushers normal,
ofc now with hc versions im doing a lot beter but the point is that stats for mele are on second place after dmg

Pretty much this. Melee/Hunters damage is heavily based on Weapon Damage (some classes speed even more so). The higher your weapon damage the higher the numbers go.

For instance on my paladin I had the 359 PvP Sword ran multiple sims came out with my estimated dps. I then simmed up the 365 craftable and came out ~300 dps higher. Simmed it with the 378 PvP sword and it jumped up a good ~1.1k dps. These are just from one weapon alone. You do that with any piece of gear and you'll see 200-300 dps increases at most.

Casters aren't as reliant on their weapon upgrades as we are though. They can get by with a crappier weapon and still do perfectly fine.

It's not just you, Blizzard actually hates all enhance shamans. Every single one. Most recent example? Instead of giving rogues and shamans and axe or mace legendary to share, they decide only rogues are worth it. Maybe Blizzard forgets we exist sometimes?

I think it is shamans in general, but that's not the point.

I'd say get the two maces in general and try it out, if you don't like it, go back to your 353s. And continue to raid firelands.

I feel the pain. After weeks and weeks of FL, the only weapon my orc has gotten is the Shatterskull mace. I cringed when I got it and had to reforge expertise to 29/26.

Took me six weeks of FL to see the agi mace drop, and another three to see the axe drop.

If you are using 359 weapons, have shit luck, and/or don't mind blowing some extra cash, the Brewfest maces are a very nice upgrade. Yeah, the secondary stats are meh, but really, the most important thing about a weapon is the DPS.
