Still, you would rather spend less time raiding, which means you would rather do something else. So why do you even bother to do it, if it isn't fun? If it's fun, you wouldn't want to be done with it faster.

That is not what I am saying, I am saying as it is now it shortens my raidweek even further. Means I can do other stuff as well. Be it ingame or out. I dont see how that would even remotely translate to I think raiding is a chore. And as I said, I quite enjoy raiding, but I am not going to cause wipes to prolong the raidinghours to get more "funtime" Would I want 4.3 to be out now, you betcha, but it is not.

Yes it's rather disappointing that Blizzard nerfed Firelands while it is current content. But being current content is why they nerfed it. Let's look at some questions.

Have you killed N/H Rag?

If so then good for you, you killed him before the nerfs, you can already do the raid and its easy for you, nothing for you changes.

If not, why are you complaining. Now you have the chance to kill Ragnaros and see all the content of Firelands, so see the fights on heroic, and down them.


These nerfs were made so people who were struggling through Firelands could get through it, and see all that it has to offer in content while it's still current, and to help people when the next raid and 5 mans come out.

I'm sure the new 5 mans won't replace every slot with a new piece of gear, so having a 391 from heroic Firelands will help, especially since chances are the new 5 mans won't be higher in ILVL then 391.

Cause I don't. I wouldn't want to spend the first 3 months of the Dragon Soul wiping on the first couple bosses cause I couldn't get through Firelands and get the better gear.

Standing in Org/Stormwind and seeing people in the good guilds wearing the good Dragon Soul gear is rather depressing when you know you can't get through the stuff.

You do realize that they tune the normal mode of a raid instance for people with normal mode gear from previous tier right ? Like Firelands normal is ( was) tuned for people in ilvl359 gear. In heroic 372 gear you waltzed through that obviously.

So in the scenario you're outlining here with everyone having at least half a 391 set by 4.3.. what will the use of the normal mode be ? And lets not forget there will be one even easier below that. This will make the contant last even shorter.

Oh by the way to all the people saying they're happy cause it shortens their raid week... it's not like you ever had to raid. If you didn't want to raid in the first place why were you doing it then. Personally I am sad when we clear everything before raid time is over.

*sniffles and blows nose* After about 2 months of heroic Ragnaros progress... THEY BROUGHT SHAMANS!

Seriously, I'm still so hyped up about last nights handful of tries that we squeezed in after clearing the usual 6/7. I didn't think Raggi would even get pulled with that healer line-up. For the bosses before Raggi that required more than 4 healers, people had to log on well-geared alts or dual-spec to get the needed number of healers - because people left, had internet problems or weren't available. So Raggi was pulled with paladin, druid and TWO resto shamans, and I even saw the transition to P4 when the NPCs are joining in...

Oh god, I hope I'll get to continue trying when our priest is available again and when our second paladin has no internet/electricity problems...

Bottom line: I'm fine with the nerfs - and still I'm mad that they seem to rather nerf Ragnaros than to give resto shamans a helping PvE hand...

Look at them again... The 'kill' is the second try of the day. It's the transition to P4 that's 'killed' Ragnaros.

My fellow shamy and I got a chuckle out of it... Been there for the first time and already scoring a 'kill'. I'd be showing off my Firelord if I had killed Raggi, believe me. Soon... soon!

According to our logs, we killed him 5 times yesterday - wonder how many "kills" we'll get today. It's broken on heroic.
On a plus side, our Resto Druid was happy because she could finally play as a healer, instead of boomkin for adds. If you look at it in that way, I guess the nerf wasn't so bad.

PS: i liked FL while we progressed 3/7 25H without any nerfs, i'll enjoy it now because i'll see everything of it, and even maybe down Rag.
