God I like Norn lore and architecture so much. But the less I watch norn gameplay the less they appeal to me.

Yes because we all know the quality of a game, every drop of sweat poured into designing it, is completely dictated by AddOns.
Why did you bother posting here, if not to stoke the fires? Oh wait, without your DBM you won't know when you're standing in the fire. As an AddOn user I admit I have a soft spot for them, but only if I feel the default UI is inadequate, which does not (yet) appear to be the case.

GW2 combat is extremely visceral so you're going to be constantly watching where your avatar is standing - so I really would love to have my IceHUD back. I can still tolerate not having AddOns because OF the quality of the game, though.

Charr by the way. They have astonishing animation quality and they look utterly fantastic in heavy armour.

Try phrases next time. Such as, but not limited to:
"i feel like they are being too closed minded by not allowing adding to possibly improve UI"
"I live off addons, and I fear the default set up will hinder my gameplay"
"I develops addons for wow, and I can't understand why they would want to eliminate that part of the mmo experience"

Phrases like the examples above actually foster DISCUSSION. Which is why this site is here. It's not for simpletons that get all hard on being Internet-tough.

Sylvari! (If I get the game) I've been waiting for -ever- to either have a playable aquatic race or a playable plant race in an MMO. GW2 delivers that.

I must say, bravo yet again on the original races, I'm so glad its not the "mountain dwarf, snooty elf, bold humans, roarsmash orc" formula.

As much as I hate playing a Human in most MMO's, I am really liking the Human in GW2. If my main is still going to be my Guardian, then it will be a Human. If it is a Necromancer, most likely Norn or Sylvari. If it is a Mesmer, that is also probably going to be Human.
