I guess it depends on how strong you allow the connection between you and <insert game> to be. If you play a game, and you really RP through it, and absorb everything in it, you'll be far more scared when something happenes than if you 'just' play the game. I think lots of people who played Amnesia either: Never really played any horror games before, and was scared because it was horror - Or RP'd through it and allowed oneself to get absorbed by the game completely.

Yea. I only voted for ones that I felt deserved a 4-5. Well, after I spent like 15 minutes giving 90% of them 3's and a couple 1-2's. I was generous with my rating on some. Felt they deserved 2, but gave them 3 instead.

The thing that sets Amnesia apart from other 'horror' games, from what I can tell, is that it knows that monsters are scarier if you can't see them. But--and this is a big but (mind out of the gutter)--that is most effective when the player has a powerful and/or overactive imagination, because that's what's really providing the horror. The player gets scared because of all the terrifying possibilities of what could happen. Needless to say, this is moot if the player has little or no imagination.

Mane six will be playable on release, more will be added later. They have not announced any beyond the mane six, at the moment.

I'm pretty sure I found a picture with CMC and Luna and stuff in it. So it is a plausible scenario that Discord will give them company
