Yeah still not following you. The thread has aged enough to become a community, and when people feel like they aren't strangers they are more likely to open up and talk about <insert emotional topic here>. This thread has long evolved past being just a thread about a children's cartoon show. While at the core it still is, it has grown many branches since then.

It's a grimdark fanfic (although a lot of people would just consider it gore) which some people react to badly because of the depressing/dark content. Bad time bringing it up would be because people aren't exactly super happy at the moment (Hour of the Emo as Drek said) hence being reminded of something kinda depressing might not be a good idea.
