Can I ask why it matters? It's not like our post count goes up or anything. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Chat Thread is incredibly vague, as in MLP thread is a fanbase thing I guess they are allowed to spam since it's on topic or something, but in here there is no real theme, not a fanbase or anything, and in terms of chatting on the internet you often do use images and videos to incite chatting.

There's a difference in what it brings to the site.

A bunch of bros fistbumping in a thread about how awesome they are and how many memes they can spam is pointless and makes the site look bad. A casual chat about "hey, I liked this game" or "i just saw this movie and it was fun" brings some nice discussion.

The pony thread has a point, and they have nice casual discussion about both the pony stuff and movies/games/etc. They got yelled at when they started just meme-spamming too.

No, its a weekly "I'm committing e-suicide for attention", pony image spam, and soft core porn which you guys eventually do something about when it enters exposed nipple time. Have you been to that thread?

There's a difference in what it brings to the site.

Could you recommend me some anime? I don't like slice of life stuff, but I have a hard time finding more action based ones I enjoy. (I prefer it if there's a manga version available too, it's easier to get obsessed with them )

Already did. I think the first half was really good (especially the Rescue Rukia arc) but it went downhill from there. I actually haven't read it in a few weeks so I might have to do that!

I don't really have issues with you, but the stuff this thread has been locked for, and threatened to be disbanded altogether is pretty light considering what goes on in there. Thats pretty much the whole root of the issue as I see it.

Relying on reports in a community like that will never work, unless something totally obscene is posted (and often not even then). People don't like to report their "friends".

I dunno about you but I'm in there semi-frequently and I'd report shit. Though then again I'm pretty liberal and uncaring about most stuff.

Both threads were given major warnings in the past, and as far as the R34 stuff goes, it's gone. Anything particularly bad gets seen, and as always if you see something that shouldn't be there feel free to report it.
