MSI 560 GTX non TI version halp

This is a relatively minor question. Sorry for making a whole thread on it but no search results unfortunately

I'm looking at buying MSI GeForce GTX 560 non TI version

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127592

This is opposed to 460 GTX since 560 ti is completely out of the question. Can't seem to find any reviews on the net (or I'm just being dumb ).

Do you think this card is worth buying and is it much better than 460 one? Thanks in advance!

Edit: My cat is driving me crazy. This is very relevant and I decided to share

I think a new cat sounds like an awesome idea. Not sure how it would bench against your old one. Probably slightly less "hungry" as it were.

If you nip on anandtech you can "choose your weapons" as it were for a comparrison benchmark. Probably your best bet.

Edit: Seems anand doesn't have the non ti

Best thing just stick it in google "460 vs 560"

I had similar issues when researching 560 as the OP, but as #3 says, tomshardware got one. Let me see if I can dig up a link.

    edit:
Here it is (though not MSI, but two other 560's):

If you don't mind me asking, why is the ti version out of the question (price?). Most of the cards will have the same reviews; I opted for an Asus 560 ti and it's working nicely (from Newegg). That card may just be less popular because of 560 ti and MSI brand.

If you clock up the GTX 460 to the same clocks as a 560 (non-Ti), you get the same performance as one. Though 560 being slightly refined they can usually overclock a tad higher than the 460 in the end.

If you don't want to overclock, go with 560. But if you feel comfortable tweaking your own settings, the 460 becomes way more interesting from a priceVperformance perspective vs the 560.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was being dumb afterall

I won't be OCIng at all and TI is out of the question because I'm buying locally and the price difference between Ti and regular is around 70 bucks (haha I guess)

My initial question has been answered however I do have another one so I decided to bump the thread.

The situation with 560's is pretty clear. I'm a little unsure about mobo and case though.

Would said MSI 560 GTX fit onto http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3778#ov ? The radiator under the pci-e slot is so close imo.

I'm also looking at http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6629. Wouldn't be a problem to fit the same card in it, don't you think?

    Thanks.

Edit: bumping has failed. Damn you, mmo-champion forum engine!
