6/7 HM (pre-nerf) 10m-3day LF Lock, Hunter or Druid
This is so stupid that i have to say this but yes, we are pre-nerf, !@#$ those dumb nerfs, %^-* is officially boring as hell.
Grip and Sip is looking to fill a couple of core positions on our 10 man roster. We raid Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, each raid being 4 hours (9-1 EST). Although we are not hardcore, content will still dictate our raiding times. 3 nights will be the most we ever schedule as progression raiding, 2 nights being a possiblity when content lightens up.
Our intent throughout all of Cataclysm is to be competitive for server firsts (with anything less than second being an underachievement), and topping out the progression on the Alliance side. We are a guild made up of people that grew tired of raiding 25 man content with less than half of the 25 people playing on the level we would expect.
So if you are thinking “Ok, so what makes you different than every other guild out there forming for Cata?”, the short answer would be personality. Most likely if you are the type of person that does not take a joke well, this would not be the place for you. If you do not know who Ricky Bobby and Gob Bluth are, you most likely won't get our sense of humor. We are not the type of players that will chastise someone for making a mistake (so long as it is not repeatedly), we are the guys that will mock them for it (in a friendly, fun way of course).
Our number one goal in Cata is to raid with people we like. That being said, I will point out the obvious; in order for someone to be liked, they would have to play at the same level as the other 10 members of the raid. We are not looking to just plug raid spots with people we “like” regardless of the wellbeing of the raid. The level we are searching for is the player that watches his/her own boss mod, only needs to see things a couple times, theorycrafts, strategizes and continually improves.
In a nutshell, if you are looking to join a guild similar to the military, or a guild where you will never be told you are doing something wrong, or a guild willing to carry you, or a guild with drama, do not waste the time applying. If you are looking for the kind of guild not mentioned above, please honor us with an application showcasing your awesomeness.
