Should vote kick be allowed?

Key point: The person being vote kicked has been with the group from the original formation.

So what are your thoughts on this? Should it be allowed? I have seen the system abused many times when someone is vote kicked just because someone else thinks they "attacked" them verbally or if they just dont like if they took too long drinking water before a boss pull. Being ridiculous as that may be, people some times take it one step further and wait to initiate a kick at the last boss, when the person has vested the whole time in the instance to reach the last boss.

There's been more than one time where a person in group has been so deflamatory that I specifically wait until the last boss to kick them so I purposefully make them waste their time. It's a rare occurance, they have to be truly deserving of the treatment and I'm 100% certain a vote kick will go through for it to happen.

ive vote kicked douches at the 2nd last boss jus cause they were assholes.. but rarely the last.. i feel a votekick past the first or 2nd boss shouldnt be allowed.. i mean thats already reaching the middle ground of a dungeon.

this is unless the said person is either afk/dc/ or generally not participating.

We had a rogue in one of my guild groups a while back. The guy was a complete asshole, he woudnt stop complaining about everything and he only pulled 8k dps with the 15% damage increase. The entire run he just cried about how the bosses werent dying fast enough etc etc. We get to the last boss and we kicked him from the group. I dont regret our decision, I honestly think he deserved it.

i'd much prefer to be able to vote kick people after the dungeon has ended, i've had some great 5 man groups have to disband because 1 person went afk without leaving group, so we can't vote kick nor requeue

kicking before last boss should be allowed, as personally i don't see it happen very often for abusive reasons, but that the person is incapable of allowing us to progress on the boss (grim batol and jindo were often 2 of the worst for this)

I don't care if it's the first trash pull or the last boss fight. You do any of this in my run and I'll boot you. If it doesn't pass I'll just port out and go AFK til you leave, the group kicks me (meaning I can join another one instantly) or everyone wastes time and gets annoyed enough to kick you instead while I go get a drink or watch videos on Youtube. You'll also notice that I never mentioned kicking people in bad gear, doing 'low' DPS, people that don't initially know fights, people that die to dumb things but don't bitch about it, people that need to take breaks and people that just want to quietly go through their dungeons, get their VP/bags/loot and get out calmly and efficiently. Anyone that gets in the way of this is booted on the spot and without anything more than a laugh at their expense. All tanks should do this without hesitation.

as with everything the vote kick option is open to abuse, blizzard makes things thinking that people arnt dicks on the internet, which they are. Most of them anyways. Cant say ive ever kicked someone before last boss on purpose, if say were at the end of stonecore and he gets hit by 2 rocks in 1 fight (yes thats a CR) then he will get kicked.

God forbid someone new to a dungeon gets you as a tank. I can't stand tanks that think they are gods gift/elitist. I only vote kick when its really needed, afk DC or having your type of outlook

none of his reasons apply to "new people to dungeons", they apply to jackasses

he even goes on to say, if you're badly geared/low dps etc, legitimately failing mechanics, needing a bio etc are all part of the game, it's the people being obnoxious twonks ruining the run/pissing people off that he kicks

No system is perfect, I'm really glad votekick is there, imagine the griefing if it wasn't.

Remember that the majority of the group has to accept to kick him. If you get kicked, it's obvious the group didn't want him so I don't see the problem.

Blizzard don't make things thinking people aren't dicks on the internet. They make things knowing that you cannot *prevent* people from being dicks on the internet, and that it is foolish to attempt to design things in such a way that people *can't* be dicks, because that just penalizes regular players, and doesn't prevent dicks from being dicks.

Yeah. There is a problem, if peopel kick wrong guy out or kick befor last boss. I had a situatsion were I was in a dungeon were one guy start pissing me off with no reason. I protect my salfe and they kick me.

But still we don`t need a noobs in a group.
And if group died meny times, then they should find out who is a noob. The tank or a healer, before u start kicking.

Yes, I do think it should be allowed at the last boss and continue to be that way. For every 1 person that's kicked due to abuse of the system there are FAR many more that are legitimately being kicked at the last boss. It's there for a reason. While it sucks that it gets abused, I'd rather have it in place and be able to kick someone that is constantly wiping the group than wipe for 2 hours because they can't play properly or care enough about the group to leave themselves.

I usually give a 3 strike rule for mechanics and play (unless it's horrendously apparent they are trolling or just that bad). That's more than enough time to fix yourself so you don't die to a mechanic or to fix what you did wrong (not healing at the proper time, tank not picking adds up, etc.). After that, it's obvious you can't grasp things and need to be removed so we can fix the dungeon.

A million times yes. VTK is not harsh enough IMO. If people don't listen to your advice after they make a mistake or insult you and your group for giving advice why should you be forced to play with them.
