Why do people still think $15 a month Is a lot of money?

I can't stand why people still complain that $15 a month Is a lot of money. Really? Do you have jobs? Most of the morons who spew out this crap are probably children who can't get their parents to pay. Still, even $30 a month Isn't a lot of money. You spend $15-20 for a 1 1/2 hour movie. You spend $15 for a month of endless entertainment. What Is your opinion?

If you're going to make a poll, be less biased and opinionated about the matter.

Sum up the total amount you've paid for WoW, then try to think what you could've used the money on.

Is 15 bucks a month a lot? It's all relative to your own situation.

Thanks to Elyaan for the great sig!

Not the entertainment that comes from 115 days /played, thats for sure.

OT: I'm a teenager with an allright part time job, and for one hours work I get a month of WoW, and considering how many hours I spend on WoW p/month, that seems like a damn good deal for me.

Over here its £8.99. For up to 1 month of entertainment.

Going to see a film with travel and food will probably run you £15 upwards for 2 hours of entertainment

So in that sense, Its very well priced. But hell, always going to want it cheaper =D

Not a lot if you have a job, but I'm also willing to look at quality of game the person is subbed to. For me, WoW was no longer worth my $15 a month, it IS a dying game, the company does NOT care about it nearly as much anymore, these things are very apparent. So I decided to stop giving them my money, have not looked back.

Rift on the other hand, I find to be deserving of my $15 a month... though they just love giving out free play time. So it might just come down to $7 a month or so. ;p

It is cheap entertainment compared to the time invested. But it is still to expensive. A single price for a battle.net account of $15 is ok, but when you have 3-4 accounts attached ... You get my point I hope.

Not expensive but ofc I wouldn't say no to a price cut.

well,here,....in Eastern Europe you could do many things with 15 dollars.

With those 15 dollars(not playing anymore) and with a little more I buy protein and go to the gym

On the contrary, I spend nothing to see movies. I don't spend $15 a month for "endless entertainment", I waste $15 a month for a game with boring, convoluted PvE experiences and a horribly unbalanced PvP environment. Blizzard is putting all their focus on the former and doing so poorly. You can deny this as fervently as you want but biased feelings towards a company that blatantly disregards the players' feelings is completely inconsequential.

Who the hell thinks that? Say random active player plays at the very least 10 hours a week, that's 40 hours a month. For 15 bucks.

Back when WoW was actually fun people played easily 30-40+ hours a week now that was literally for free.

    12 months - $15/m = 180 * 6 years = $1080

Comes to think that 1100 dollar in 6 years ain't that much.

People need to quit acting like I'm ONLY talking about WoW. I don't play WoW anymore for the same reasons most people do. This topic applies to all P2P MMO's.

i dont think it is, i mean compared to the amount of time i play for the cost it is really good compared to other forms of entertainment, wow is what £9 a month or something, seeing a film in the cinema for lets say 3hours is £6, thats not including food or drink. i think wow is very good value for money. i wish things like faction transfers were a bit cheaper though, £25 is a bit steep for changing faction.

    $15's nothin'.

That said, if I don't think I'm logged in for $15 worth of time, I think it's time I spent the $15 elsewhere. It depends on what else may be going on in my life or in my head.

If you're not getting $15 worth of entertainment, then MMOs are probably not your thing. It's not an outrageous price, but it's also clearly not catering to your personal ... desires. Don't blame the MMOs for that, though.

There's not that many and what I said applies to any pay-to-play game.
