this is my recount report for a dungeon i just did AS RET... for some background information, i haven't played retribution since patch 4.0.3. i was basically almost mashing buttons, forgetting to use inquisition, getting flung around by shadow traps, using TV at 1 or 2 stacks, hardcasting exorcism, basically all the things retribution shouldn't do.

i've censored the names, as per the naming and shaming rules (if i need to blank out the servers as well, say so and i will). i just don't get it. i knew i was going to suck, i haven't played retri for almost a year, and i've only started to play paladin again a few weeks ago. but i don't know what excuses the other 2 possibly could have had for their low DPS...

Mods, if this thread is more suited for one of the older "worst DPS you've ever seen" threads, then please move it. i've used the search and looked on the first 3 pages for "worst DPS ever", but i couldn't find a thread on it.

Some people just play the game to have fun. They don't care about researching their class on forums outside of the game, or figuring out optimal DPS rotations, how to min\max gear, etc... Sure it sucks when you get one in your group, but that's just life.

The druid didnt cast a single wrath, the bm hunters pet is supposed to do a large chunk of his damage, the druid was obviously moonfire and sunfire spamming which means he is either watching a movie while playing or just plain stupid. Wont explain the bm hunters low damage though. He should do more than that with friggin auto-shot and autoattack O.o

they were from a different server (i've edited out the servers). but really, 2.5K DPS? i pulled that at 80 while tanking. and i have almost similar gear as the druid (he had 344 average, i have 350) and i still pull 3 times as much. druid was completely unenchanted and ungemmed, used AGI and cloth.

the hunter was in full AGI gear, 1 mail and again no gems or enchants. i personally also don't have gems and enchants, but that's because i'm saving up for them.

I'm not really sure what your point is. They have bad dps? And? I think you're assuming that they put in all their effort to get the most dps they could. Maybe they did, maybe the didn't. It's a 5 man and I can say that I don't do everything I could to get out as much cps as I can. Sometimes I'm a little bored or watching some TV while playing and don't notice procs or when spells come off cooldown, etc. I'm not saying that they couldn't be the worst players ever, but one recount doesn't really mean anything overall. Now if you guys continually wiped then I would have an issue, but clearing a dungeon with people who have poor dps is pretty typical.

my point is that even when playing horrendously and not having enchanted gear or gems, you should still be able to pull at least close to 8K. and apparently, it wasn't the first attempt either. we had a wipe before that, and it seemed to have been a wipefest even earlier.

Well, I assume this is a heroic and not a bunch of 82s to 84s? Not the best instance to show DPS on, however. I see this fight has a mechanics fight: Avoid falling rocks, Stay out of purple, position yourself so adds run into purple and interrupt fight; not as a DPS race. The tank is gonna have the highest DPS cause of the adds. DPS is going to suffer a little on the boss cause when she heads back to her ledge damage is greatly reduced, if DPS is even still targeting her and not killing the adds with low HP. My quest is: Did you down the boss and complete the instance? If so, mission accomplished.

Just ignore the druid and the hunter and hopefully, you'll never see them again anyway.

Even if they are playing for fun they should be pulling more than 4k and 2k. Anyone could do a fight with a messed up rotation hitting whatever they feel like and still pull at least 8k

I've gone through dungeons (and BGs, for that matter) as a BM Hunter simply mashing Arcane Shot, but even that produces better numbers than what's up there.

soo... you are pulling 7.5k dps, and you are complaining about other peoples dps, and you said you didn't enchant and gem your gear, and you didn't read up on your class. so how about you turn yourself into a good player, before you complain about others...
