[Anime] What to watch next?

Ok, well i've seen all of Naruto and Bleach upto now (and back in the day DBZ), and i loved them both. I'm really into that type of anime, i don't know much about anime but i like the style of the fighting. I like the powers in both naruto and bleach and i like the story lines. One thing i really like is that both main characters have something inside of them that when released makes them so powerful (nine tailed fox/hollow). Is there any other anime like this?

Any help would be great, i did hear about death note but i haven't looked into that yet, i guess i'll go look now while waiting for replies, thanks!

Just to point out i'm not too much into futuristic/present stuff. Prefer hand to hand / weapons such as swords. Don't like guns etc.

Darker Than Black is one of my favorites. It's got a modern setting, but there isn't very much firearm combat and it's got lots of flashy, epic battles between people with all sorts of wild superpowers. It's kind of a similar dynamic to Bleach. Try it and find out for yourself, but I think you'll enjoy it.

The English dub is translated slightly better than the subtitled version, but it shouldn't matter too much which one you watch.

AO NO Exorcist is a good anime you should check out today was 25th episode i think it was the season finale but it might have been series finale

I did try one piece when it was on tv back in the day, it was english dub which may have made it worse but i just didn't get into it really. Didn't like the main luffy guy at all with all his bendy parts! xD

I would give it another shot and avoid the dub like the plague. They butchered it when they edited the hell out of it for American TV. Give it a few episodes to get going as well. From everything you have said, it would be right up your alley. Pirates, Hand to hand and Sword fights, Crazy powers, and huge battles. It starts off pretty slow, but once the rest of Luffy's main crew get introduced it really gets going.

If you lick fight- and deathscenes, you should check Hellsing, Deathnote, Hiruashi No Nakru Koro Ni.
Thest last one focus more between the relations between the main actors. Higurashi will absolutely fuck the confusion out of you. ;D

If you want a love theme in it, check out Elfenlied.

Last but not least: If you wanna shed a manly tear from time to time, watch "Clannad" and "Clannad: After Story". Keep in mind that this isn't any kind of fighting anime.

If you like Death Note after watching it, you should try Code Geass (and Akumetsu if you're into reading manga) as it is quite similar, only less focused on a coherent plot and more on FABULOUS.

OP wants a standard fighting show, death note wont fit.


Fairy Tail suits the suit.
The Street Fighter II serie is quite good.
Toriko is good.
Hunter x Hunter is also a good choice, especially since they started anew. I belive its a remake.
Yu Yu Hakusho is something that you must see, if you like it theres also Flame of Recca thats like a clone, but with differences.

Ah, not so sure about death note now then haha. So many been recommended, going to have to do my fair bit of googling tomorrow!

Btw like i said in the original post, about how say naruto has the nine tailed fox in him and ichigo has the hollow, are there any other animes like that where they have some type of evil presence in them which is super powerful?

Naruto is bad and Bleach went downhill fast after SS arc, but thats another story.

I cant say theres many shows of that concept, because its easy to derail and makes for cheap derpplots and oversimplifiying key plot events.

Would be interesting to watch a show that can pull it off, but cant remember any of the top of my head.
I'll lurk here for a while and see if anything pops up.
