Help: How to fix the MMO thread view

So my forum view has been perfect until recently and I have no clue how to fix it. When viewing a thread I get vertical and horizontal scroll bars on each post, reply, etc. And it is quite annoying. Any idea on how to fix this? Any help or suggestions is much appreciated.

Hmm. Not certain what it could be then. Maybe the posts had large pictures in them? Other then that, I got nothing.

    Did you find an answer?

There's probably an obvious solution, but I've got exactly the same.

There's the link for you, and tbh i have no idea what's causing it.

I see your problem, its a small blue "e" in the top left corner. This problem can be solved by visiting chrome, firefox, opera or safari and download their browsers.

have you tried resizing the font? (ctrl mousewheel)?

worth a shot if nothing else

This often happens when you resize the text box.

Hover over the area, and in the bottom right, you should get a triangle to pull about, reshaping and resizing the text area.

Also try what Rixis said, and let us know.

Cilck your compatability button off this will fix it

From the looks of it, it will be an IE 100% width bug on the post

    ---------- Post added 2011-10-11 at 03:35 PM ----------

If anyones interested it seems to be the 100% width set on the .content DIV thats ballsing up in IE.

The inherited 10px padding left and right are being added on to the 100% width making it wider and causing both sets of scroll bars.

    In conclusion IE sucks balls.

Couldn't agree more! I'm a Web Developer for a large firm, and I can tell you that it is terrible having to build another CSS file just for IE...

Also the security issues are horrific. Safari for life!

Same here, although with the exception of IE7 we can usually get by with just one CSS file. 7 is right out.

Most versions of IE are crap in many different ways.

Im currently working on a site which has:

    1 common css
    1 for normal css
    1 for dyslexic readability
    1 for high visibilty
    3 for fonts
+ a few for browser specific

This; compatibility mode is very bad for many reasons. Turning that off should fix it.

(For the record, compatibility mode icon is the blue 'broken page' icon at the right of the address bar.)
