Rangers can revive pets.... and pets can revive rangers.

I love how the camera flies backwards into the sky when you open your map. So it actually looks like you're looking down from above!

when you swap out ranger pets your first pet runs/swims off and then your second one comes running/swimming in from the distance to join you
