It's old tech. Not worth $650 in my eyes, especially not if it's second hand.

I would personally strongly recommend a desktop for gaming. If you are comfortable building it yourself, get something alongside this:
    Budget Gaming 550
    MoBo: MSI H67MS-E23$74.99
    CPU: Intel i3 2100$124.99
    RAM: Corsair 1600MHz 2x2GB$34.99
    GPU: HIS Radeon 6870$169.99
    HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500Gb$44.99
    PSU: XFX ProSeries 450W$59.99 Review
    Case: NZXT Gamma Classic$35.99 Review

    Estimated Total Price – $546
Add Windows 7 Home Premium for around $100 and you are set (assuming you have mouse, keyboard and a screen). Will outperform the listed laptop with a very large margin.

I would probably not pay more than 400-500 for that laptop since it is used. It has a decent mid range graphics card which lacks DX11 support and it also has a pretty darn old dual core CPU which would struggle in games like WoW (25 mans to be exact).

As already mentioned, for $600-700 you can get an i5 laptop which would have a faster CPU and roughly an equally fast DX 11 capable GPU:

That's only an additional $100-150 or so, and you would need to buy a mouse for a laptop anyway, since nobody wants to game on a touchpad. I would highly recommend getting a desktop for gaming, especially if you already have an OS, or can get one from "another source".
