The benefits of going from 4.5ghz to 4.8 (or even 5) are non-existent for my needs, it would be a complete waste of time and money swapping the Hyper212 with a high-end cooler, there's quite a few people who would agree with me :P
Also my CPU cut-out does not match...and I'm really not in the mood to unplug/unscrew EVERYTHING and go through cable management again.
With load temps around ~55c at the most with normal use (I don't run IBT/Prime all the time :P) I think my motherboard and chip should last atleast another 3 years...hell it's a Sabertooth, it could probably last 10 years with the additional OC stress :P
I'm not changing anything until my setup is considered low/mid-range. Nothing, NOTHING beats that satisfying feeling of spending a fat load of cash to upgrade your oudated hardware to the latest shizz and see your performance literally triple or quadruple.
Going from an HDD to SSD, an HD5770 to GTX580, a Q8200 to an OC'd 2500K...I want that feeling again. *fangirl squeal*

Oh I'm with ya there Xuvial... in regards to a bad CPU cutout on the chassis... If and when I get a job and the 12x from Zalman comes out... I'm looking forward to HAVING it.... not to installing it. >_<

Noooo! I'd replace the 9900 with it and have the 9900 waiting around for when I get Ivybridge. If I get a job here soon.... then the expectations can be that by the time Ivy rolls around, I should have 2 computers. I want an SLI capable motherboard, I'd love to get the GTX 580 Lightning from MSI and then I'd have an extra 560 Ti lying around, a motherboard, so pretty much would just need to buy more RAM and I'd be set and could have two computers.

You're dead to me!!!!
Let's stop derailing this thread, shall we?
Case: Fractal Design Refine R3 with the two stock fans - front and back. All the other fan slots are covered.
CPU: i5-2500K - 4.2GHz.
Core Voltage: 1.304
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14.
Motherboard: ASRock P67 REV B3.
GPU: GeForce GTX 560Ti TWIN FROZR II OC.
Idle temp: 29C.
Load temp (15+ hours of prime95): 54C.
EDIT #2: Ambient temp: 20-22C. Winter is coming boys and girls! Time to almost drown in snow again. :'(
EDIT: Not 100% sure about gaming, but even with my GPU reaching 75C~ my CPU still stays under 50C.

Case: CoolerMaster RC-690 Black, 6 fans; Intake: 2@120mm (front, left side), 1@140mm (bottom), 1@80mm (right side under CPU); Exhaust: 2@120mm (rear, top)
CPU: E8400 @ 4.0GHz oc
Core Voltage: 1.336
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q
GPU: GeForce 9800GTX+
Idle temp: 40-42c as a/c cycles
50% load temp (running WoW): 50c
100% load temp (12 hour Prime95): 57c avg, 62c peak
Ambient: 24-26c
There's a direct correlation between my a/c cycling and my core temps. If I turn off my a/c and the temp in my house goes up by 5 degrees, my idle goes up by ~5, my 50% load goes up by ~3.
Indeed, it's a bit pointless with everyone here posting temps without including their ambients :P
I've seen 18-22c idles on a fresh boot in the middle of winter here (no it doesn't snow, but outside temps do go sub-zero).
19-22c is the current ambient I get during daytime, it's the middle of spring. During summers it will rise to ~25-26c which is pretty damn hot for us NZ'ers, we practically go berserk with ice cream and sunscreen.

Going by memory here so voltage might be a bit off.
Case: Antec 600 V2 (I don't like my case and plan to buy a Corsair 800T or NZXT Phantom)
CPU: i3 550 oc'd to 4.2Ghz
Core Voltage: 1.3
Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 push / pull
Motherboard: p7p55d
GPU: Dual Sapphire VaporX HD5770's
CPU Idle - 36c to 40c
CPU Peak Load in Prime95 - 72c
AVG CPU Temp Gaming - 67c
