Hello everybody. We did guldan N last night with my guild, and wiped on H krosus. There is a hunter in my group, named Aëwing, who is falling behind in dps. Im not a hunter, so I come to seek some knowledge from you people This way I can provide some constructive feedback to Aëwing, so she can improve.

So I just got the legendary shoulders, finally. Im wondering, should I wait until i have 2 dire beast clicks, or should I just click one, wait for the 2nd to pop?

From what I remember, you should try and have as much beasts out as possible correct? That would mean i should waitfor the 2nd dire beast click, and hit two at once. need some help.

Really depends if you have the artifact skill up or not, if its going to be off CD soon then save both dire beasts to use it with it. Also if you have 4p Tier then you need to use Dire Beast as much as possible so you can have Beastial Wrath up 90%~ of the time.

I think my haste is too high, and im thinking about taking off KJ trinket and replacing with 905 Foci or convergence. Thoughts on gear or execution?

Hey, I'm having some issues with my DPS. I've seen people with my gear do at least massive more DPS, I have to reroll, because we dont have so much ranges in our Raid. I've included some recent logs so you can see my performance etc. Thanks!

I try so hard playing the hunter top but i dont know why my dps is so sick. That is not my goal. I hope anybody can help me with my issue.

Just looked at her logs and this is my log at almost equal geared. Log I'm still new to reading logs, but seems like she does not use multi-shot when adds are up for beast cleave. On a shorter fight I do almost same damage with less casts. Krosus I can't say anything about since my toon choose to die on hc encounter...

Could even check on Elisande mine, vs her

sooo. I have the Bloodthirsty instinct trinket from heroic ursoc ilvl895 , but i am having a hard time trying to see which of my 2nd ones is better.. i have both the Convergence of Fates(ilvl 890) and Entwined Elemental Foci(ilvl 895) the 895 has a bit more agility , not sure if thats worth taking it, but the Convergence is listed as a BIS, yet the Entwined is a trinket to Lookfor.



(so which one would be better. the Convergence 890 or the Entwined 895. ?

Convergence is better if you have the 2 piece and especially the leggo boots.

thanks, im using 4 piece. no boots. i have the crappy head and pants, i dont even have 1 good BM hunter Legendary. but i guess its better than guys that have not gotten any. .

I've been a long time hunter never having issue with performance. But for the life of me I can't pull my expect single target and sometimes aoe dps. I tend to go meme build for aoe fights like tich, spellblade, Skorp, elisande, and botanist. I then go the trick shot build for the rest with fights like krosus and gul'dan showing terrible numbers sub 600k on krosus which should never happen. Any info suggestions/hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!!

Not sure what i'm doing wrong. ilvl 872 with 2 passive legendaries. MM using recommended talents and rotation sees me struggle to reach 300k single target. I'll gather some logs.

'to' Bignoogz, checked your log on Krosus Heroic, seem like your vulnerable uptime is a bit lower than it should be, also only 2 cast of windburst (could be 11). A lot focus wasted trough passive gain (479 to be exact), avoid being focus capped.

'to' GanonARG, as for BM hunter is try to do as many Kill Command as possible, for number 99 cast out 156 (maybe some because of fight type, not accurate), and 827 focus wasted through passive gain (even with phases that's a big number) so try to not focus cap$ dire beast on cd.

My single target dps is pretty okay, but It's not good at all for mythic raiding I always fall behind and I would like to aim for 700k+ dps minimum. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and was wondering if someone could look into my krosus and star fight. Thank you

Dear fellow players, hunters,

First of all; thanks for reading this post and for the huge pile of worthy information you’ve shared on this forums that helped me a lot during my play-time on wow.
Until recently I’ve teamed up with old guildies and started raiding again. I’ve been playing wow on and off for periods of time, actually from MOP until Legion. All the while I’ve been playing pretty casual and apart from heroic dungeons, LFR and a normal raid now and then I haven’t been very active with PVE.

When I resubbed to wow and picked up where I left on my hunter (lvld it to 110 at launch, then switched to casually playing DH havoc) I immideately dived in to m+ and LFR to get better gear a.s.a.p. so I could raid with my guildies again. My guildies by the time already cleared NH normal and progressed through NH hc on 4th boss. By the time they were at Tich I joined them for the first time and they carried me through NH.

Now, a few weeks later, I’ve acquired my 4-set, and I’m currently wearing the following lego’s: Ullrs and Kill’jaedens. My ilvl is 898 equipped and I just finished 4/4 Unerring Arrows from the new 7.2 bracked of traits, my artifact lvl is 39. Furthermore, I’m a trick-shot (got my rotations from icy veins) marksman hunter. Here’s a link to my armory:

The reason why I’m posting this are my bad DPS and my survivability. I’m very unhappy with my overall performance when I compare it to the performances I had during my times in MOP. I used to be the top DPS with the best survivability. Nowadays I can barely pull 500k with my current gear set-up and I constantly die from not positioning well. This last this is, in my opinion, a matter of knowing the bosses in the encounters and learning how to position, given the fact that mm hunters mobility isn’t very great.

Now I take in account the fact that I’m fairly new to the current raids and I consider myself a noob in this area. But still I feel like there must be some issue in my performance that I’m not seeing thru and perhaps you guys do… Here is a link to my last performance on NH hc which I’m very, VERY, unhappy about…

You didn't have advanced combat logging enabled for those logs so I couldn't run your logs through Checkmywow to see your Aimed shot timing. But from checking your average hit per Aimed shot seems a bit low. This might mean you arent timing your shots towards the end of the vulnerability debuff.

Also your haste is a bit high, and your mastery is low for your ilvl. F.ex My hunter is 8 ilvls lower and has 5% more mastery. Although it might not seem alot 5%, thats only 5% range, the real bonus to focus consumers would be like 20% dmg you are missing on those.

So, thats my 2c

I know one of my problems is that in Nighthold, I have trouble balancing
running around avoiding be killed by the bosses mechanics
and
keeping up the optimum DPS rotation. [My reaction time is a bit slow and I still use the keyboard to move,(I know I should use mouse and keybinds but I have been unable to adjust]
I try to follow Icy Veins and Ask Mr Robot recommendations
Notes: If there is away I can improve my logging let me know,
What I am really looking for is some gross mistake I am making in rotation or play style.
