Is there any method to ID individual accounts in a guild?

As in, sixty accounts and nearly 500 characters makes it hard to break them out by who is who. Is there a way to do with without requiring everyone to run altoholic?

Write the name of every characters main in the notes. It may be a bit of work at the start but then u can do it for each new guild member.

I don't think so. But I know in our guild we cleared out the roster at times when it got out of hand with unclaimed alts etc.

I know that if the Main character name is in the public note, then you can set Chatter addon to show that name too.. otherwise i dont know.

just make them say who they are when they ask for a guild invite to alts, put it in the officer or normal guild note of that character.

Have every member use Identity/Idmain - problem solved.

If you use the EPGP addons, they require alt names in the officer note to function correctly - that's how I spot them

There are a number of addons which can use guild (officer) notes such as "main" and "alt <Main name>" to track alts.

The most lightweight looks like: GuildWho.
The most popular is: GuildGreet Extended.
The most automated (requires everyone/as many as possible in the guild to install it though, so doesn't need officer notes) is: Guild Warden.

There are other loot/dkp based ones too.

I always have an alt rank in the guild. If there is anyone in alt rank without a main's name listed in the note it is kicked. Its then in the player's interest to make sure the officers keep them updated.

However, if you "Report Spam" someone it actually applies it for their entire account for the length of your session, so you don't hear from them again. This does imply some way of the client identifying accounts unless it is handled purely on the server.

    We had this same problem.

But we put a guild announcement asking each member to log onto their alts in the guild and in their guild notes, write Alt and then their main's name so we can distinguish who is who. We also threatened to remove anyone toons that haven't been logged into the past 2 months.

Bag and tag all the unknowns and clear out the inactive characters
