Thread: WoW stuttering

    WoW stuttering

Lately warcraft just keeps stuttering going down to like 8 fps every 1-2 min for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. So when this happened i minimized the game and opened task manager to see that wow is taking up about 90% of the cpu. This happens for a couple of seconds, then stops, then again a minute later.

I was thinking of reinstalling video drivers but maybe the CPU is the issue here ?

Try lowering the View distance, if it only happens while moving(Or turning with the mouse really fast). I had this issue and that fixed it.

But also, what settings do you play on? Does this happen when not moving at all? Are your drivers up to date? What specs you got? Ect.

I have the exact same issue, it's really irritating.

Mine does happen only whilst moving.

But thanks for the tip seam!

my guess is its an addon if it happened out of the blue. try disabling them all 1 by 1

Right, try disabling Recount too, it might help.

I tried this a couple days ago when I was having this problem and it seemed to reduce most of the problems. The remaining stuttering is probably just because my system is a pos.

For some reason this ONLY happens to me in Org. I tried reinstalling/updating drivers to no avail.

Most likely an addon ( old one, not updated maybe ). I used to get fps drops whenever new models / textures were loading, but that is pretty normal I think.

Err ok its not actually fixed it just seemed like it...

    So my specs are

    AMD X2 athlon 2.7GHz dualcore
    2GB ram
    9500GT 521MB Nvidia
    200GB HDD

This just started happening, i dont think my specs has anything to do with it. I have also tried different games, and it seems that its just not wow but probably anygame. So far i have reinstalled video card drivers, cleaned HDD, did a virus and spyware check. Everything seems to be ok, i dont know what else it could be and i have tried changing view distance as well but no dice. I play wow on the low settings @ 1024x768.

Try disableing every addon and see if it still happens.

Also WHERE does it happen, and when?
