(Orb Whisperer) tips, tricks and addons?

Hello! I was curious if anyone had some tips, tricks and Addons for an ICC mount run I am starting up. It's mainly for my guild, and I plan on making this a regular thing (every saturday night we do achievements or the heroics part of it) but I was hoping for some tips.

Most of the people I take on the run have been to ICC before and many of them are doing this on an Alt. However, I have a few newbies in the group, and a few people who are... a little naive when it comes to where to stand, even with direction. While I'd love to keep them, it makes certain achievements, such as Orb Whisperer very frustrating.

So, I was curious on if someone had an addon suggestion for one that will say, announce when the achievement is failed (this or any other raid achievement, because I plan on running other raids also for this group), and maybe some suggestions I can pass along.

    Thanks!

I think this achievement rests completely on the Keleseth tank. Just make sure they have 4 orbs on them at all times for when Keleseth becomes empowered.

Err, if Keleseth gets empowered just once and not enough orbs are up then you will fail this achievement.

I would say get the Bite addon if the people you run with are retarded. Other than that is pretty easy, Fastest way to do the sindi one is 1 tank and 2 heal it on 25 and just burn and ull get the chevo.

The big problem with this achievement right now is that it is HILARIOUSLY easy to accidentally kill the shadow orbs. Have your Keleseth tank far away (but in range of heals of course), and make sure they're a class that can aggro the orbs without really doing damage to them. A druid doing faerie fire might be best. They need a good number of orbs on them, and incidental aoe can kill them in seconds due to their low health.

Meh... if its not Keleseth first / second you can pretty much kill them before the third change. And I am sure that you can find someone who has tanked keleseth in Wrath. Its so easy...

    this exactly.

after failing a couple of times trying various things (soothe and FF didnt gen enough aggro to keep the orbs off healers, spells killed them too fast, etc) what we did was have all dps ignore keleseth 100% of the fight, i made good initial threat by potting and blowing all my cooldowns on him, then i just ran around the room the rest of the time gathering up orbs. by the time one died, i had another one or two. it was kind of sloppy because i knocked a few people around, but, hey, level 85 lolol

    Fews

The orbs are not threat based aggro, they aggro to who ever hit them last so either your healers were dpsing the orbs or you weren't getting them on you... So that really shouldn't have ever been a problem I used to tank on my feral druid kelseth and one of the others and faerie fire was more than enough to keep orbs on me.

OP. Just bring a mage (any kind) ice lance the orbs on him so he has them (no dot for risking killing them and he can constantly move/instant cast for new ones) and blow time warp immediately dpsing the crap out of the other boss, if it goes to Kelseth simply ignore him or if the mage isn't bad and can multitask (hold enough aggro for dps, not just to hold off healers from gaining aggro on kelseth) then dps him... mage has probably the best mobility with the quickest damage for the orbs without dotting (that I can think of, not played for a while tbh).

This is not true (at least when ICC was current) as the healer could aggro an orb from me that I had a dot on (while they were only healing).

Then they did some form of damage to it, because I assure you they are last hit based aggro. If they were based off of anything but that, you'd have to consistently dps them (killing them way too fast) to keep them off of your healers spamming the crap out of heals on tanks (especially in hardmode) I'm pretty sure 3 heals would out threat one of your dots on each of the orbs which would result in you dying.

    From W O W wiki

This prince can basically be tanked by any class with a ranged attack. He does not use any melee abilities, he instead spams Shadow Lance.
For this reason, the Keleseth tank must gain shadow mitigation from the Dark Nuclei. These spawn randomly around the room, and the Keleseth tank must grab them to gain the stacking Shadow Resonance buff. Dark Nuclei do not follow the normal aggro table, they instead attack the last player that hit them.

Then your healer was hitting them cause they arent threat based even when ICC was current.

Using Soulguard set is somewhat beneficial as the HP loss wont be "noticeable" at lvl 85.

I think your main problems couldn't be the Keleseth tank, but the other 2 ways of getting more than 25 k damage: the void zone vortices placed on people and the orbs falling from the ceiling. So in a ten man with pugs you must assign 2 people for orbs for both halfs of the room and call out for voidzones on the ground.
Get that fail addon for achievements with the ICC package, it worked for me for this achievement, I waited over 4 lockouts for it.

If you're messing up with the shadow damage than get someone using maxed shadow protection: get a green item for every slot cloth/leather/etc is not important, get the shadow enchant for the back, resistance elixier and trinkets. This way you can accumulate enough shadow resistance to fully ignore the orbs or get at least one of them. Only make sure the shadow tank builts up aggro on Keleseth.

    You can use RaidAchievement addon.

But! You need an alpha version, becouse some spell IDs were fixed in it.

Also, the main reason why this will happen (orbs wandering off) is actually due to a threat drop ability. If you had a mage doing it, was stupid enough to pop Triplets, it's all over, same with a warlock and soul shatter, a hunter with misdirect etc etc.

The achievement is for spell damage and the vortexes and the kinetic bomb do physical damage so it really is just the empowered shadow lance from Keleseth (or possibly the flame orb from Taldaram if nobody intercepts it on the way to the target, though I'm not sure of its max damage) that the group has to worry about.

    Max dps is the way
Just find a good group with 85 and that's all.... BL at start and all focus on one target.
We done it with only one tank

This achievement comes down to two aspects of the fight.

    1) Caster Boss Tank,

    2) Flame Orbs.

Simply stand at max range and run when the orb is spawning, and have the tank of the caster boss pop some CD's to reduce their damage, and thusly spell damage taken until they can get some orbs on them. There job, is to just get orbs!
