How much does each dps have to do on normal 10man to down him?
How much does each dps have to do on normal 10man to down him?
My group did it with each DPS dealing 22k DPS.
Don't know if it is ideal but we did it! =)
We did it with DPS between 18-22k each with 3 healers + 2 tanks. There isnt really much of a DPS check there tbh, domo is much much harsher on the DPS requirement.
As long as everyone is around 17k or above you should down it.
We're very undergeared and had DPS of 16-19k and our best try is a 4% wipe where he enraged at around 7%.
question about BL when?
BL at the start of the fight imo - allows healers to stack embers faster.
ya Mikesglory is right, "mojodomo" is a lot tougher on the dps. we used bloodlust at the start. let the dps get him to about 65% by the time lust is over and then it is just coast time. make sure that if u have a Spriest to take the entier first crystal. he can dispersion himself and stay alive provided your healers can heal through that and that will provide your healers with a lot of the buff. 10man for firelands is much harder ive noticed. no-one can screw up and if someone does rarely will you down a boss. Mojodomo is a major dps gear check, along with baleroc.
I think it's designed around 19k DPS, which is reasonably doable in 365 gear for most classes. That's for 10N.
Is that really the case? The DPS requirement for Mojodomo varies depending on how well your healers can handle the first scorpion form. If you stagger CD's and do some great heals, you can get him to 60% - 70% before he makes his first switch, making the overall requirement probably lower than Baleroc. You can easily go on for about 8 - 9 minutes on that fight, whereas Baleroc will literally wipe you shortly after 6 minutes and that's completely uncontrollable.
We solo tanked it with all of the normal DPS doing >20k and me (normally a Prot Paladin, specced Ret for this fight) quite a bit further down at 16k (our Feral tank, for what it's worth, was around 9-10k if I remember correctly).
We did it last night on an alt run with me solo tanking it. The DPS requirement really isn't high. Most of our alts were in ZA/ZG gear. We had a sub 15k DPS, a sub 16k DPS, and the rest around 19k DPS.

So what you're saying is that in most situations it's better to lust at the beginning to get stacks somewhat high on all the healers/bring him down to about 65% before people start messing up?
What Rotation setup were you using for crystals ?
We tried 2+2 dps and healers healing us 1 at a time but our healers seemed to have trouble healing us sometimes (Rogue/Hunt + Mage/RetPal) ; or at least burned a LOT of mana.
(And we 2-tanked it, don't know what way is the easiest)
