Looking for a graphics card for Tera, make suggestions

Hi everybody. I'm looking for a new graphics card, as I'll need a new one before Tera comes out. I want to run it somewhere between medium and max settings. All my friends refuse to show me anything but $400+ cards, but I'm kind of trying to save money right now. Can I get a graphics card that will run games like Tera really well with a roughly $200 budget? If so, give me some links!

Edit: Keep in mind that while my upper limit is around $200, that doesn't mean that I want to spend that much. I'm looking for a card that's good enough, not overkill. If I can get 30+ fps on high settings, I've spent enough. I'll likely replace this card in 2 years or less anyway.

For $200, an HD6870 would hit the nail on the head.

If you're shooting for $250, then a GTX560 Ti is the way to go.

You can't go wrong with either.

There's a list of the highest rated desktop graphics cards on newegg for a 100-200 dollar range. However I have no idea what the estimated system requirements, nor the actual recommended is for Tera, so I can't really comment on which will give you what you want.

A Geforce 560 Ti or Radeon HD 6950 should be available for around 200 dollars and will give you the best performance. Pick either model.

For about 150 bucks you can get a Geforce 460 GTX or a Radeon HD 6870, again both have good value for money.

Lower than 150 bucks and you start entering the "not viable for gaming area".

For reference, here's a list of various sub-200 euro GPUs: http://www.gamestar.de/hardware/best...00-euro,3.html

... Both GTX560 Ti and 6950 are $250+... Best card within the $200 budget is the 6870, hands-down. Also, going below $150, you get into the 6790 and 6770/5770 range, which are completely viable for gaming, even at 1920x1080. Though, I'd still go with either the 6870 or the GTX560 (non-Ti edition), as they're almost the same.

Yeah I use the HD5770 and I love it. The price I paid at the time was $148 CDN. For the price paid and the performance it is a great value, but if the budget permits going up to the HD6800 or HD6900 series is definitely worth it.

Mind since I am using an older i3 550, even though its OC'd, I run around WoW with 55FPS with everything cranked, only thing I drop down in raids is shadows and screen resolution for FRAPS.

Found the minimum and recommend spec's on Tera's Korean website.

If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One... now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.

I use the 560Ti. It is awesome (oc @900MHz) very reliable, cool and right now I am running wow at Ultra everything (contstnt 60fps). Rift at Ultra everything AAx8 and MS x8 60fps everywhere, about 40 in very busy areas. Fallout New Vegas on Ultra with no hiccups.

Tera will be subscription based after purchasing a retail copy. No information has been released regarding how much the subscription is but I would suspect it to be $14.99 a month like everything else.
