Not really much ye can change without takin' a performance hit that won`t be worth th' wee bucks ye save.

Th' PSU I'd change t' a Corsair TX650, but other than that 't be a good computer fer WoW

If all you want to do is play on high without running FRAPS etc you can drop down to the i3 2100 and in turn save a good chunk of cash. You can also drop down to the GTS550 or Radeon HD6770. Can save a few more pounds by going with a different mid tower such as the Antec 100. Also with any single card set up you can roll with a 500W PSU safely especially if you stay with the XFX Pro series.

Now if you still want a quad core solution you can go with the i5 2300 or is the 2400, there is one that is the entry level to the i5 series that would save you a chunk of money but in turn you lose overclocking capabilities. But as you said you're cash strapped so less expensive the better.

tar for the info...and if i was to drop down on my card and CPU then you reckon i would still end up with a machine capable of handling wow lag free on moderate setting?

Yeah the i3 2100 is perfectly capable of running WoW on high settings with the aforementioned video cards. The trick will be turn keep AA at 2x and shadows turned off, but everything else you can set to Ultra. If you run 25's you would want to tier back to keep the FPS high but for leveling and 10 mans you would be perfectly fine.

To give you an idea I run the i3 550 which is the older generation of an i3 2100 with a single HD5770 and I can run at max settings in a 10 man. Well that was before the overclock, second video card, and two hard drives. But you get the point.

Basically you'll have to drop the overclocking capability of a 2500K if you want a cheaper chip. It also depends what you do - if you do mostly 25mans, save up for an i5 2500K. If you do mostly 10mans/5mans/etc then save yourself some cash and go with a cheaper locked chip, you'll still get like 50+ fps in 25mans. .
Stick with the HD6870, I don't recommend going lower than that even for WoW.

i5 2400 and 2300 will still zoom through WoW while being slightly cheaper than a 2500k, i3 2100 will do great too. Lots of options
