    Final Fantasy 11

FF11 is $10 on steam atm for the ultimate pack and i was wondering about people's opinion of the game. Is it worth $10? Any insight would help me, as i have never played the game but was interested in it.

If you enjoy a relentless, horrible grind, then sure.

FFXI had its time, I played and ended up with many 75's and it was alot of fun. The problem was most of the base expected 14 to be next gen 11. And as we all know 14 is an amazing game with no content... which makes it more like fan art you can play >,<

I remember my 4 years of FFXI well but tbh its over with. I just wish they would do something good with 14... but it would have to be omgwtfbbq good to combat a year of them sitting on the game doing basically nothing with it to draw customers.

MMO's need a strong base to thrive, even the most amazing looking and playing mmo lives and dies with its base.

My info's dated, i played it before i started wow in 05, but they've made soloing much more doable, i think the game's just top heavy now. It's fun on it's own rights, but you're going to miss a lot of the things we take for granted in wow once you play it long enough (mounts, jump button, soloable equal level monsters, etc)

the game still reminds me of old school wow in how some things work.

After all this time, they've still got 2 hour skills. also ridiculously OP bosses that have been killed by less than 5% of the population of the game.

honestly though, unless they've made serious changes in levelling, it takes a long time, and it's difficult to do alone.
