Couldn't figure out how to get back to Black Talon from Dromund Kass...

Played the beta this weekend, loved it, pre-ordered and all that good stuff.

There's something I just couldn't figure out and I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I rolled a BH, started on Hutta, blew things up, and at level 10 moved on to Imperial Fleet. I trained up my AC, got some crew skills, and pretty quickly moved on to Dromund Kass. I picked up the quest for Black Talon there, but I was rolling solo, so I figured I'd come back and check out that flashpoint. I took the taxi to Dromund Kass.

Once I was on Dromund Kass, I found plenty of people spamming LFG for Black Talon groups. At this point I kind of did want to try it out, but I couldn't figure out how to get back to the Imperial Fleet.

It wasn't until I got my ship (around level 16) that I was able to go back and do Black Talon, but by that point I had pretty severely outleveled the difficulty and rewards.

I figure there must have been some way for me to get back to the Imperial Fleet, but I couldn't figure it out. Did I miss some transportation mechanism entirely? Is there a way to queue for flashpoints without being there? Help a noob out here, so when I go back in a few weeks I won't be so confused.

You just needed to go back to where you were when you first got to Dromund Kass.

If you travel back to the place where you started on Dromund Kass you just go back to that shuttle and click on the door on the back of it. You can then travel back to the Fleet from there.

This is something that needs to be addressed in game: the world maps and even local zone maps often do not show the spaceports. It's not so bad when the location is obvious and off to one side--like it is on Dromund Kass and Balmorra--but when it's in the middle of a zone/world it can be much, much harder to find.

I foiund it pretty hard at times to find stuff in general. The buildings/zones are quite convoluted with stuff placed inconveniently far apart, and the maps aren't always that helpful. it would be nice if you could ask a droid for the location of specific vendors or places and have it marked on the map.

There is a shuttle marked in the space port section of the map where you first come in. I personally only had to spend a few seconds figuring out where it was as it is marked on the map.

The map has a filter for things like vendors and class trainers so you rarely get stuck finding things if you use it.

Unfortunately for the some the map liked to bug out and either not mark things on the map or just stuck every objective and your position in the top corner.

Thanks everyone- I don't know why I didn't think of that. I think right after I first got out at Dromund Kass I tried to click the shuttle to go back to the Imperial fleet and it wouldn't let me right then, but probably I had to do a quest or something to allow me to go back.

In general I actually though the map was pretty helpful and intuitive, so I guess it was these few omissions that stood out.

It's quite possible. I had to relog once over the weekend as it was on the right part of the map but had no quest objectives and it was titled unknown map with a string of numbers after it. Fortunately I got a survey popup when I logged out to fix it so I reported the issue. It was fine when I came back in game.

Map bug - I clicked to a new area then clicked back and it was fine.

Black Talon - Follow your class quest and the other quest that takes you to the imperial fleet in the first place. You can then choose to go to the black talon OR take a shuttle that skips it. If you end up on Dromund Kaas, you skipped it.

Oh yeah- i got a number of map bugs, particularly when joining a group and changing shards. One thing that frequently worked was ctrl-u, ctrl-u- it's the reset ui command.
