You finally have the game and you'd see the message;
Guild Wars 2, has finished installing.
I think I would stare at the screen for 30 minutes out of un-believe and then fill all my character slots and buy new ones to fill them up.

Desperately type in names completely ignoring actually making my char how I want it to look just to reserve the names I want.
I'll create my character and, you know, play the game?
15 minutes later (or was it three hours? I don't know) my girlfriend will enter the room and say that I love my PC more than her. I guess I'll have to find her a nice hobby until then.
Spend at least one hour with the character creation I guess... >_<
Create a char, find a fitting name, login, test animations/emotes, logout, delete char, create a char, find a fitting name, login, test animations/emotes, logout, delete char, repeat.
The advantage of the dreamer is that he never has to face the chains of reality.

Delete WoW, praying GW2 will be good.

1) Ensure nanny has adaquate supply of all necessary items for baby.
2) Ensure wife has been appropriately mollified.
3) Go through check list (crisps, organge juice for nutrients etc).
4) Enter man-cave.
5) Turn off lights...forget about life, the universe and everything.
6) Realise that the answer is not 42...it is GW2.
You know, I wandered into this thread not knowing, and I have no plans to play GW2, at the moment anhow...but you know how these things go
Squirrelbames, your reply spoke volumes to me, about who you are, and who I am, and well, most of us here.
Hopefully the mods will overlook your written words of nerd-porn lol

Proof that the mmochamp community can be a bitter and lonely place. What a shame.
I'm still wondering what to do with my over-time-demanding girl friend. *If I can only think of a way*
Log in ASAP and reserve a name or 2 without looking twice on the customization screen
Probably create a 'dud' character to just explore the noobie area and check out a few features etc.
Then promptly make my real character hopefully with the reserved name!
Hmm, probably log in and try to capture all of the names I want.
Then proceed to get stuck at the Character Creation screen for about an hour or two looking at all the options!
XD
Me and my friends will prepare everithing at my place 1 day before launch for super ultral guild wars 2 geeking. We will all be here with our computers in the shades of my room. We will log in together and create our characters and start the fuck of this game. With cool nicknames we will roam the lands of Tyria and only death will follow our nordic swords and bows. That's how we roll.

(long time lurker tho)
Create character and (hopefully) not stare at a server/realm queue. lol Not that I doubt Anet, it's just that whenever I take a day off work for a game launch something always seems to go dreadfully wrong.
Create a character and then promptly make a run for the nearest cliff, jumping off of it in some kind of spectacular glory, filled with joy as I plummet to my death at the wonderful fact that I can jump in this game. (For those who don't know, you can't jump in GW1 and it's really frustrating.)
Just as squirrelbanes said I'll have everything ready to enter my "man-cave"
