    Jedi Consular Telekinetics - doesn't seem to hit very hard

    I'm only levelling, just hit 28, but I've noticed that I'm not hitting much harder than I did on the starting planet.

    Disturbance is hitting for a little over 300.
    Project is up near 330
    Throw is ticking for about 150
    Wave is up at about 250.

    The main dot doesn't even tick for 60.

    What am I doing wrong?

    I'm level 36 and my Telekinetic Throw ticks for about 360, Disturbance for 300 and Project for a total of 890 (counting it procs too).
    I'm a hybrid Healing/Balance spec.

    It could be your gear that is less than average, or your talents. Other than that, I'm not quite sure. You could always try to gather up on the Power stat to increase your direct damage.

    Yeah I found TK damage to be quite low while levelling. Even at high levels.

    AOE is INSANE once you get quake and wave, with the talents that make them synergize. Single target though, very yawn.

    I found respeccing to heals actually easier, just chucked dots and the occasional project at the mob, and healed instead, could easily solo elites and elite+strong groups, whereas as TK it was actually kind of tough.

    Telekinetic Throw is mitigated by armor, I believe.

    Also, monsters get harder, and some monsters have considerably higher resistances than others. On one monster, I might hit for 500-700, and, on another, I might only hit for 100-200.

    also always keep your hilt upgraded, hilts/barrels scale up damage on weapons, armor scales up armor on orange items.

    You may not be upgrading your gear properly or you may be falling behind on new ranks of abilities, they may be just around the corner!

    Is all kinetic damage mitigated by armor?

    Kinetic and Energy damage is mitigated by armor. Internal and Elemental damage isn't.

    Just check your character sheet to verify, the tooltip states which kind of incoming damage is reduced how much and how the % is calculated.
