Bad graphics on old games.

Hello MMOC community,

Me and a friend decided to play a really old game (2001), called Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.
We have windows 7, and changed the compatibility to windows XP SP2, but we're getting really bad graphics in the menus (the battlefield itself is ok).

How can i fix these graphics to show normally ?

try changing the graphic settings to 256 bit or w.e

it's the same with diablo 1 I think.
Otherwise try changing the color settings in the desktop resolution settings to the lowest.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if it simply won't work on Windows 7, regardless if you set a compatibility to XP or not. It is that old of a game after all.

Running it with a different compatibility might help, like windows 98 or xp or something, might help, but honestly I have no idea

I play SWGB quite a bit on Windows 7 Professional, it seems to work without any compatibility modes needed. (Not using XP Mode) - Anyway I did have to apply that color fixer that Trailertrash linked, so that's probably your best bet. Supposedly the problem stems from changes made in DirectDraw over the years...

P.S - Nice to see that their are still people playing this wonderful game.
