Somebody said there was no endgame... there is always an endgame. It is the point when you have reached max level or attained all of the skills or the best gear etc... Just because you have dynamic events and PvP doesn't mean there is no endgame.
Usually progression refers to the moving from difficult PvE content to more difficult PvE content.
It can also refer to gear progression. With no raids, I don't think PvE progression will be that big of a measuring stick.
PvP tends to be more like a ladder, you don't progress so much as go up and go down in ranking.
I really really hope there is a lot of server pride in WvWvW and the best servers and players are acknowledged.
The main problem with this mode is there are too many unknown factors in play to make it a good way to measure performance. Regardless it is the mode that I think fosters the most community collaboration and I hope people really come together and enjoy it.
Structured PvP is probably the easiest way to measure performance without having too many unknown variables. I just hope they don't try and balance classes on only individual performance in PvP like they tend to in WoW.
