I decided 2 weeks ago to buy a new computer in the price range of 800$-1000$. I checked online for items/prices along with my local computer store and decided what kind of computer I wanted. I opted for :
- intel i5-2500k cpu, 200$
-HD 7770 graphic card 160$
- 120gb SSD
- 8gb of ram
- cheap motherboard along with a cheap regular case, nothing too fancy
Along with those, i've put my old 500gb HDD and my cd/dvd player.
The issue is, instead of the intel i5 cpu, they gave me an AMD fx-4100 (Quad core) for 110$. I didn't realized it up until 1 week after receiving the computer.
I know the i5 cpu is much better, but i've been playing my regular games with this current cpu and been doing 60 fps+ at highest graphic on pretty much every game tried.
Do I really need the i5 cpu ? Is it worth the additional 100$ ? I'm I bottle-necking my graphic card too hard or would the i5 processor be wasted ?
