    [Music] Ready for Awards tonight

Awards are everyone's favorite whether its a celebrity or common people like you and me. Celebrity will look to get the awards for their performance in the complete year and people will pray for their favorite celebrities. So for whom are you waiting tonight in Billboards music awards?

I read through the list of finalists on their website, none of the artists interest me in the slightest. However, there are some categories that eluded me..

What's "top digital songs artist"? What's "top social artist"? What's "top streaming artist"? What's "top digital media artist"? How is "top christian artist" even a category?

Top pop artist seems incredibly redundant as well.

In most cases, if there's "Billboard" associated with "music award" it's not worth checking out.

Out of all you listed? "top christian artist" is the one that makes the most sense. Christian they are not talking about is not the musician's personal views on religion, it is a genre of music. Or maybe a number of sub-genres like christian rock, gospel, and so on. What I want to know is how the Top Rock Artists and Top Alternative Artists is the same damn list? I quite like Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys, but rock? Really?

Most interesting category on there is the Top touring artist. If Roger Waters does not win, it will be a great injustice. The show he is touring with right now, The Wall Live, is easily one of the most impressing concert / stage show I have ever seen. It is simply amazing. If you are a fan of Pink Floyd, you really need to see it. There are a few good versions on youtube of the entire series, but nothing beats seeing it live.

To be honest, I'm just going to watch it to see Linkin Park perform. I couldn't care less about all the horrible hip hop/pop artists that get awards.

Of course. It's insulting that they give awards out to people who have never heard the term "originality" used in a musical sense. The Billboard music awards, as well as the chart itself, sees maybe 5 good artists a year with 1 good song each, but then again they give out Grammy Awards to people who suck too. Music awards are really irrelevant these days, they give them to the most popular people, not the most talented.

I read through all the finalists and the only one to really catch my eye was 'The Black Keys', I can't say I'm very interested if I only actually like 1 finalist.
