Gremlins in my PC, please help!!

Ok, i will try to keep this as short as possible. But here is a history of whats been going on.

Got my new Pc built it, everything worked fine and i tried to OC it, well that was a nightmare. It would pass 8, 12, 18 hour runs on prime95. OCCT runs Intel Burn tests ect ect. But after passing these tests it started to crash when playing Diablo3 and listening to pandora. I was like WTF is going on.

I did some digging and apparently HW monitor can cause random crashes, ok i stop using that program Move my clock down to 4.1 retest using P95 27.7.1 pass 12 hour test. but since my last crash said it was a corrupted memory issue i then decided to run Memtest86. Ran that overnight and got the you pass no errors/warnings. Ok i thought everything is in line. Also, during the memtest i was searching around for what exactly my BSOD messages ment. I couldnt find anything tooo clear. The only same issue with all the codes i found a few posts on MS W7 forums saying Google Chrome can cause random crashes.

So i think ok, every single time it BSOD'd on me i was running pandora in Chrome and had HWM open. So i think, ok no more Chrome. I went and got MS developers tools bc it has a debug reader for my .dmp files. I go over all those and it was always HWM or Chrome. I now think, OK!!!! i win, those 2 programs are causing my issues. I went and OC my CPU to 4.4Ghz and played D3 listened to pandora with Opera and also kept WoW open for the entire time last night while playing D3 and everything else i was doing. No crashes or hiccups. I think everything is fine. And while at work i decide when i come home i will put my CPU through another 12hours of P95 27.7.1 and make sure it passes, it should it did before.

I come home all happy n whatnot i had a great day. I turn on my PC and none of the fans turn on, not a single one. I restart, UEFI check fan setting, all looks good, put the CPU back to stock setting, save. Start up, ANNNNDDDDD Windows fails to load, ARGH!!! still no fans. H100 silent, no fans running, pump not running, all 3 blue lights are on. but nothing.

So also while i was running my stress tests, i was using Aida64 and watching my voltages for V-droop. Rock solid at, well tbh i forget but it didnt change. At the moment i am on my wifes laptop as my PC does a windows recovery. I duno why its doing that either, it just started it last time i tried shutting it down bc no fans are on and i was going to do a hard restart(Shut down, wait 5min, start up) to see if that does anything.

    Specs,
    I5-3570k
    AsRock Z77 Extreme 4
    Mushkin blackline 16gig
    Seasonic X-650 gold
    MSI R7950 2PMD3GD5

Any idea? Is it my PSU thats faulty? If it was the PSU wouldnt i see V-droop during OC stressing?? Also, i have my voltage settings at stock for my 4.4OC and it has passed all those tests at that setting, so its safe to say that voltage is stable if it passed 8+hrs P95 27.7? Has the mobo taken a crap on me??? Im up against the 30 day return for newegg/NCIX so any and all idea and ways to tell whats what are welcome.

OH, i DO have a 2nd PSU but itys 5yrs old and from Cyberpower so i have no idea what wattage it puts out and the MB in there is LGA 775, so cant swap that either.

    Thanks a bunch guys.

    Three things :
    -don't get them wet
    -don't feed them after midnight
-don't expose them to the sunlight

I have never liked the "recovery" options windows offer, so I would go for a clean install.

About the fans, I would try them on another PC or on your second PSU just connecting the fans.

could all these issues come from a bad/corrupted windows? that sounds tooo simple. The easiest solution is usually the one u do not think of.

**Update** PC is up, fans are on, but for some reason its still on 4.4 OC even though i set it back to factory settings and saved/exited. Weee another gremlin, i swear i dont feed my PC after midnight or get it wet. Also, the windows auto recovery/fixer tool failed and said it couldnt find the issue. Big surprise lol. Im going outside for a beer. its nice out and i need a smoke i get too stressed sometimes.

I think it's almost 100% safe to say that it's your motherboard. Fans pull off the 12v rail, and if your PSU's 12v rail was failing, your processor, video card, and the like wouldn't be turning on either.

It could be something else of course, but the symptoms definitely point towards a faulty mobo.

No, I meant the BSOD, then I edited because of the fans problem you mentioned. I don't know if you reconnected them or if they just started working. Anyway good news everything is working, but don't forget to keep an eye on it.

Are your memory timings set correctly in the BIOS?
Check your manufacturers website for the proper timings and set them manually in BIOS. I had that happen with me.
The website said it should run at 9-9-9-24-2t, but my bios autoset it to 9-9-9-24-1t and, while it was stable at stock, it borked my overclocks past 4.3ghz

Well i looked on the mushkin website and my quad pack is not listed is the ram section, i did a search for the model number 993995 and it found it, 9-9-9-24 1.5v but it doesn't say if its t1 or T2

Open CPU Z and check the SPD window, look at the XMP profile. At least for mine, it shows what the website told me.

i just got off the Phone with a VERY helpfull and VERY nice guy from Mushkin. Seriously i wish every one in CS was like this guy. He asked me what all was going on, and he talked me through everything about what could be wrong. He didnt even care about the memory lol, well he did he told me to take it out and test 1 stick at a time in memtest and how to set my timings in my UEFI. And then he just started chatting with me about my build lol. AND if u look at the time the CS at Mushkin closed 15min ago. I honestly can say i will never buy anything but Mushkin.

Back to the evil machine. Command rate for ALL mushkin are 1N/T1 unless its 2133+ so i have that set now. it WAS on auto and displayed at 2N. I have everything set manually and not auto.

TYVM for the help with my RAM Naididae

Well to me and this nightmare working fine is relative. It was "working fine" last night too. The concern now is, why did my PC boot up but my H100<hooked into my mobo fan controller> did not turn on. The case fans are controlled through my case, CM Storm Trooper.

Oh gosh, running at stock clocks of 3.6 is sooooooo slow compared to 4.4ghtz D3 and wow actually took some time to load argh!

Running P95 27.7.1 overnight at stock settings to see what happens. It has passed my D3/Pandora stress test tonight >.>

I really want to get this back up to 4.4Ghz I just hope its not a faulty mobo. If my Issues were due to my RAM set at command rate or 2 instead of 1. Well i have till the 8th of June to figure it out.
