    Computer start up problem

Hello all another thread by me again,

As I noted in a previous thread I recently got a brand new computer, it worked fine yet just 5 minutes ago I went to turn it on and it turned off by itself and it did this twice. On its third boot up it did it successfully, I have a strong PSU Corsair HX1050 so I doubt that could be the problem.

Although I have my NH-D14 facing upwards and not sidewards maybe this could be the issue. Could it also have something to do with my i5 2500k as I OC it to 4.6GHz and people are saying that it can restart itself on start up as a safety precaution and that I may need to turn off pll overvoltage and if so how do I go about doing that as I am completely and utterly clueless when I use the MoBo bios (using ASUS Suite II). So please I really need your help.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you changed anything in the BIOS?
What speed is your memory (RAM) running at?
What components have you got in the computer?

    Thanks for replying Butler,

Yes I've changed my CPU OC to 4.6GHz, the thing is when I restart my computer it resets it back to its previous state which is 4.3GHZ. I also increased my case fan speed by like 50 RPM.

    My specs are as follows:

    i5 2500k 4.3GHz | GTX 680 SC | ASUS P8Z77-V PRO | Corsair HX1050 | G-Skill ARES 8GB RAM (running at stock) | Intel 330 Series 120GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 1TB | Noctua NH-D14

So as you can see it was a fairly expensive build. Hopefully this can help you.

Try resetting the BIOS/CMOS. Either uses a button or a jumper, how to do it on your specific motherboard will be in the manual.

What voltage is the CPU using? Sounds like it may be a bit low.
