2 Mews is all you need.
Raticate

Stack some TMs and you're good to go
Charizard
Electabuzz (Electivire works too)
Pidgeot
Ivysaur (Venusaur works too)
Wartortle (Blastoise works too)
Snorlax
When I was a kid I remember studying the strategy guide all the time, comparing basic stat attributes for all the Pokemon. I think I settled for a lot of normal type pokemon with high Special Defense. Most kids those days used a lot of elemental pokemon (special attack) and normal types were only weak to fighting type, which no one used. I don't remember in particular which pokemon I used, but it was high attack and high special defense.
Snorlax
Raichu
Blissey
Arcanine
Alakhazam
Another Snorlax.
Snorlax is the best.
Lol. I never made a team based on the stats. And i still don't, i just use whoever i like. (i dont play competitively)

Aggron
Infernape
Scizor
Spiritomb
Eelektross
Empoleon
You can probably tell I love steel types, but I can't have all of them having/being Steel cuz then I'll die to fighting/ground types horribly.
Edit: replaced Umbreon with Spiritomb

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
Also, it's should HAVE. NOT "should of". "Should of" doesn't even make sense. If you think you should own a cat, do you say "I should of a cat" or "I should have a cat"? Do you HAVE cats, or do you OF cats?
Been a while since I played any of my Pokemon games, need to transfer all my major ones onto White seen as though I still have some of my stuff of Sapphire
Swampert
Charizard
Salamance
Kyogre
Galvantula
Metagross (Possibly spelt different)
Not the best team in the World, but I haven't looked at my 10 Gazillion Pokemon Games in a while. Still got stuff to trade over ^^
Dristereau - Axxolentus - Infernus - Sequentia - Nulo - Desterrar
Silvermoon - Shadowsong/Aszune - Tarren-Mill/Dentarg (SL Mage Tower: 29/36)
I only played Red/Blue/Yellow because I'm a real man.
I kid, I kid. I actually didn't know pokemon was still going strong. Still on gameboy?
Haha yeah. Most people preferred special type pokemon because they are admittedly more interesting. That's what made people easier to predict and defeat though :P I went to a couple tournaments at malls and got some Pog (remember those?) type "badges" for winning. In all honesty, most of my time with pokemon was spent preparing for an opponent I'd never actually face xD Other than those mall tournaments, I had my cousin and a couple other friends who also played. It's not like I was defeating hordes of skilled and powerful players, leaving broken futures and shattered dreams in my wake.
The Pokemon craze was a blast when I was a kid though. I loved the card games, the gameboy games, I even liked the show, which, to this day, is doing the exact same thing over and over. Good times.

Flareon
Jolteon
Vaporeon
Umbreon
Espeon
Glaceon
I wanted to get Leafeon in there, too, but that would have made 7
I misunderstood his intent. I assumed "dream team" meant "how would you win?" (without OP legendary birds and crap of course). If I had to pick some favorite Pokemon, it'd probably be:
Gyrados
Gardevoir (the female psychic plant thing)
Metagross
Blazekin
Houndoom
I really can't remember that many.
Diglett, Psyduck, Tangela, Chansey, Koffing, Pikachu. evolving is for pussy's
Hounddoom
Arcanine
Syther
Muk
Onix
Venusaur
MissingNo.
PorygonZ
Mewtwo
Meowth
and either Gengar and Magnemite or 2 more MissingNo.
