Addons that works 100% for MoP launch...

    Hello

Im aiming towards going for server first. Ive studied alot around it and prepared my character for it. (potions, flasks, food, drums, scroll and full BiS HC gear)
Ive run though 85-90 in beta quite a few times now. Finding my best route.

But what im not so sure about is wether my addons will work on launch or not is there anyway to be sure that addons will work ? maybe if they work on beta the weeks before launch. Im espessialy interested in knowing if bartender and quartz will work since those are my main prio.

    Thanks in advance

There are several addons already on the curse website that are for Mists of Panda beta that work 100%.

    ^ this.

While there are quite a few addons that are working properly on the beta currently, any update could break them. As I recall for Cata, curse had a nice selection of addons that were Cata approved shortly before the launch. Check back in there closer to launch.

they prolly will. but yea check closer to launch

maybe bit offtopic but you could start trying to play without em. i disabled all beside Bagnon(yea i know why the hell this isnt in regular ui allready, right?). takes some time to get used and setting keybinds is defo easier with bartender and tracking debuffs/buffs and cast bar is much better with addons but its not so big deal for leveling.

so if you want to be sure that nothing will stand in your way use this time to play without em. you anyways did that in beta so shoud not be an issue

After they put on Patch 5.0 on live, you will have enough time to see which addons are working or not.

You may want to re do your routes what with the 55% increase.

The list on curse is not accurate. Not all of those addons work correctly. You are better off going to WoWInterface http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/cat140.html

Bartender already has a MoP ready version out. Get the beta here:
    http://www.wowace.com/addons/bartend...4-5-mop-beta3/

As for Quartz there has been some mention of MoP related changes in the changelog for it but I don't know if it means it's ready yet or not. You could get the latest alpha and try it out:

Anything that's working currently on the Mists beta should be a relatively safe bet on live. They wouldn't start addon testing if they were going to start changing functions all the time.

No, thats not true. There are a lot of addons that work on MoP but do not work on live due to the changes in the API. For example, anything related to party or raids will break if they are made for MoP. Same with anything spec related, that refers to the inventory slot of "ranged" or any one of hundreds of little changes.

Here is a list of the most breaking changes (from wowpeida)
Functions pertaining to talents and specializations are renamed:

GetActiveTalentGroup → GetActiveSpecGroup (NB: player character-only)
    SetActiveTalentGroup → SetActiveSpecGroup
    GetNumTalentGroups → GetNumSpecGroups
    GetPrimaryTalentTree → GetSpecialization
    GetUnspentTalentPoints → GetNumUnspentTalents
    GetNumTalentTabs → GetNumSpecializations
    GetTalentTabInfo → GetSpecializationInfo
    GetTalentTreeRoles → GetSpecializationRole

Many party/raid-related functions and events are merged into group variants.

    IsRaidLeader, IsPartyLeader, UnitIsPartyLeader → UnitIsGroupLeader
    IsRaidOfficer, UnitIsRaidOfficer → UnitIsGroupAssistant
    GetNumPartyMembers, GetRealNumPartyMembers → GetNumSubgroupMembers
GetNumRaidMembers, GetRealNumRaidMembers → GetNumGroupMembers (NB: non-0 in any group, including parties; use IsInRaid to check for group type)
    RAID_ROSTER_UPDATE, PARTY_MEMBERS_CHANGED → GROUP_ROSTER_UPDATE

Functions pertaining to Real/Fake groups (home realm and instance/battleground-specific groups) are removed. Instead, group functions take an argument specifying which group you want to query:
LE_PARTY_CATEGORY_HOME will query information about your "real" group -- the group you were in on your Home realm, before entering any instance/battleground.
LE_PARTY_CATEGORY_INSTANCE will query information about your "fake" group -- the group created by the instance/battleground matching mechanism.
    Achievement API:

GetAchievementCriteriaInfo split into two separate functions:
    By criteria order: GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(achievementID, criteriaIndex)
By internal criteria ID: GetAchievementCriteriaInfoByID(achievementID, criteriaID)

Tukui will probably work pretty damn quick.

Addon changes are put in with the 5.0 patch, which gives the addon authors 4 weeks to sort their addons out and 4 weeks for you to test them.
    My addons:
Announce Interrupts: Announces in chat when you interrupt a spell.
Tol Barad Reminder: Reminds you to queue for Tol Barad by printing a message when the battle is approaching.
EasyLogger: Turns on /combatlog inside raid instances, and off outside.
Simple class resource bars: Paladin Rogue Shaman Monk Priest

Isn't there a nice stickied list of working addons at the top of this forum?
