MPC vs. VLC for Win 7

XBMC for movies and don't watch anime because kittens die every time you do.
I use XBMC because it has scrapers that collect info about movies and TV shows.

I use VLC for no special reason at all, I guess I'm just used to it.
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

I'm personally a fan of VLC. It plays pretty much anything, you can adjust a lot of the settings around the display of the window (for example in full screen I don't have it show the player controls pop-up since I find it annoying), and has some handy features.

I've used MPC last PC until I started using Macbook Pro + VLC. Now that I have a new PC, I'm wondering what I should be using

Both are pretty good. Personally I am using VLC right now, but have used MPC in the past and it works pretty flawlessly aswell.

I use Windows Media Player as it has the Play TO option to play to my TV.

If I am watching on my computer - use VLC.
