Authentication code?

I have lots of stores here that just seem to always have a bad stockage with GW2 and it's usually out of stock, but it'll probably get here this week..permanently hopefully, anyways, I was hoping to get it from my friend with a 500 gb hard drive, anyways, just a question, to create an account for GW2, do I need to have a code that prooves I bought the game (Such as R283Kd-28Zhs-2HUDS7) etc etc, you get the point :P, kinda like WoW. Or does it not need?

Yes. It shows that you bought the game. Which I'd hope you did, otherwise your friend would have to give up his account.

So you want to just like.. transfer the files over and play? I assumed it would be quite obvious that it would not work like that.
