Heirlooms quetion

Are the new heirlooms that are apart of 5.2 completely new ones we have to buy or are they just updating the older ones?

No one knows yet, but my guess is they'll be new ones. Why? They have different names, and some of the items have different stats.

considering how they've fucked up jp gains this expansion and the 5.2 "fix" wont even be close to enough they really shouldnt be new ones we have to buy if anything let us trade in our old ones and pay a tiny jp cost for upgrades then.

and not adjusting the JP costs of LK heirlooms. You reduce JP gain, you should also reduce the JP cost. Especially when you consider if you move servers, you either need to transfer multiple toons that have the heirlooms / currently use them, or rebuy them again.

They are upgraded. Item-number and item-names are identical to the old ones. Only difference, is they scale to 85 rather than 80..

I didn't check this for myself, but if the item IDs indeed are identical to the live items, then we can expect the live items to become upgraded in the patch.

I just hope they ''fix'' the scaling issue @ 80 in the process, because currently, the 1-85 items we already have, stagnate at 80. Hyjal quest rewards beat them by miles, stat-wise, until 81.
