most important for amd gpu's is to stay away from XFX those are notorious for high failure rates.

MSI. I've been using the Hawk series which is awfully quiet and very cool. The cooling on it is superb so you can max it out over time by overclocking if you need to.

XFX is decent in general, but had massive issues this generation. If you end up going with a 79xx card, they still may be worth it for the lifetime warranty. They also don't void it when you remove the cooler. Pretty sure it's only the black edition cards though.
