Most disappointing bosses thread

The final Bowser battle in New Super Mario Bros Wii was pretty cool, but other than that, yeah, it wasn't all too great boss-wise. Yoshi's Island had some awesome and very memorable boss battles.

Bowser was coolish, with the helicopter suit. But the minibosses were all the same.

Anyway, I'd also have to say that Diablo and Azmodan from D3 were fairly disappointing fights. Belial was a pretty cool fight. He slams down in the final phase and you're like "aw dang this aint' gonna be good." Diablo and Azmodan were just kinda... running around attacking you. Fairly underwhelming.

Im going to say the most disappointing boss I have ever encountered is the boss I am currently working for. The main strat for my current boss is to just los him and look at facebook all day. If he comes over to me than I just use distracting shot. After him I would say Bowser from Super Mario (all you do is run under the guy)

We've all played those game that may not have sucked, but had some pretty awful boss fights. What boss fights do you remember that were incredibly disappointing? I've got three.

Al Mualim from Assassin's Creed. I literally grabbed him, threw him to the ground and stabbed him once to finish it.

Pinwheel from Dark Souls. Despite his creepy intro, Pinwheel proved terribly easy and was defeated in a matter of seconds via the wild swings of my sword.

Dragon's Dogma. The REAL final boss. I won't spoil who it is, but I burned this boss down so quickly I had to wait for his dialogue to end before it registered as a kill.

Uh, the Al Mualim boss fight can't be won with a single grab/assassinate combo. It's a multi-phase fight and at best you can get through one phase each time you do that. First phase is you fight all 9 targets, (they have guard level HP but Templar level damage) next phase is you fight Al Mualim and a bunch of his clones. When you "kill" the real one phase 3 starts where he drops you to 1 HP and runs away. When you catch him, he retreats after you deal a certain amount of damage to him. This repeats a few times until you kill him. The grab/assassinate combo is an instant kill against any one enemy, but it doesn't actually kill him until you go through all the phases. Also he has like a 70% counter grab rate.

I mean, he's not the best boss ever, but it's not like you can just one shot him and be done with it. And on that note, I vote Lucien from Fable 2 as most disappointing "boss" ever for exactly that reason.

Not the most disappointing, but Necron is really a bummer in FF IX. A final boss. Unexplained nor mentioned at all in the main plot, yet he shows up aftfer events in Memoria and calls himself the final boss.

Cyberdemon in Doom 3.

Nihilus in Kotor 2 (great game but still, this guy is built up so much but in the end is just a pushover).

The complete lack of an endboss in ME3 (for example, Harbinger).
