Are you moving your old CPU into the system? If yes, what model is it?
Where are you from & budget?
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

I have no computer at the moment, Fixed my typo up top, PSU should have been CPU. My fault.

My budget is right at 1000, From MO, dead midwest.

    ...Okay.

Depending on how close you are to St. Louis, you may be able to get a motherboard/CPU combo much cheaper from Microcenter. Not sure if they'll apply that to Haswell, but the Ivy Bridge combo of i5-3570k and ASRock Z77 Extreme4 for $260 is beyond decent.

RAM and HDD are fine, though you may be able to add in an SSD with the savings made elsewhere, such as this Samsung 840. EDIT: if you do this, you may want to downgrade the HDD to a Caviar Blue.

Case - is okay, but you may be better off with a Corsair Carbide 200R: it's $20 less on Amazon and equally as good as your case.

I'd probably change the PSU to this Rosewill, as it's definitely modular.

    CPU cooler is fine.

GPU: I'd probably go for either the Sapphire 7870XT from Newegg/SuperBliz or the GTX760Ti that's due out in the next few weeks. You might even be able to stretch to a GTX770, though depending on the game usage you may not want to.

Don't buy yet, though. Ask about the new 1150 motherboards and processors first, see if they can give you a cost for those, as they're due out Monday.

Was looking at microcenter, with the new chips coming out it seems they have dropped the i7-3770k to only 230. Should i grab that with a mobo combo for just 299?

The i7 is actually normally that price at Microcenter, but it is still not something to consider with ~1 week till new chips come out.

Also, i7 is not and upgrade for most games. (by most, I mean about 99.9%)

Like whiterussians said, that's microcenter's normal price, but it's in-store pickup only, so unless you live near one of their stores it's not really an option.
