Why dont you see the reason for a vote kick?

So after using the LFD a lot since it was first released back with ICC I finally got kicked from my first group. But I never saw the reason. I was probably kicked cause the DPS were mad that they were getting out DPSed by the healer but why doesnt it show the reason why you are kicked? Wouldnt it actually help the person get better if they knew?

I imagine it's because a majority of those reasons are not "valid" reasons. In fact, most of them are probably just a one-word "sucks."

Since bad players tend to chain pull to avoid any chance for a kick to happen, you have to type fast.

well actually, the condition for vote kick is that 3/4 of the people (you excluded) vote yes. which means the majority. it doesn't matter what the reason is because the majority of the group wants you out.

there you go. democracy in action . (for better or worse)

Could you imagine if you were shown the reason? People would use it to troll/insult others. "fkin scrub" or "gd noob hunter" or "fgt dk" and the like, it would just be an excuse to cuss someone out. Most people don't even bother to read the reason entered and just click Yes when the kick window comes up, anyways, and more than likely there would be party chat before a kick is initiated.

The community isn't mature enough to be allowed to have the reason for a kick shown to the person being kicked.

thats usually not even the reason, people see the vote kick window and just click accept because they generally do not give a fuck about someone else getting kicked.

There should be a list, like with reporting.

Would there be a "thinks he's the tank" reason?

I don't usually kick people, and pretty much only boot if someone is afk or not listening after being told something repeatedly but I've had some winners, for sure.

Most memorable were a moonkin in Blackrock Depths who needed to loot the torch to open the last door to the boss but even after being told over and over he needed to loot it, he just kept running around pulling adds...and, a DK in Hellfire Ramparts who had been told multiple times that he was not the tank, he had queued in as a dps, but who continued to run around in blood spec trying to pull groups of mobs and clashing with the brewmaster monk who was actually the tank. The healer promptly initiated that guy's vote kick after he pulled three extra groups of mobs and wiped the group.

Eh, the reasons people make up are usually uninformative so there wouldn't be much to gain from being able to see them.
Q: Where the fuck is Xia Xia, SIU?!?!
A1: She needs to start making eggs for Easter...
    A2: Drunk and sleeping somewhere.

I would actually like a list of options, just to prevent rude/swearing/insulting replies. Things like:

    * Can't perform role (i.e. the "Total scrub" excuse but worded nicer)
    * AFK/Offline
    * Rude/Anti-social behavior (could also include "DPS continues to pull")
    * Ninja Looter (probably not a good option since blizzard doesn't believe in ninja looting)

thats all you need right there. Those 4 options cover every single reason you would kick someone. I guess its too much work for Blizzard.

i always choose no if a vote kick randomly comes up unless there is an actual need for that player to be removed.
